Term 16 Charms Exam Empty Term 16 Charms Exam

Post by Professor Boux Thu Nov 27, 2014 12:22 pm

Professor Boux looked out into her crowded classroom. She watched as all of the students as they dipped their quills into their inkpots.

"Welcome to your Charms Exam Session," Professor Boux said. "I trust that all of you have studied and are well-prepared for this, and all of your exams. The other professors and I have a very serious no-cheating policy. If I catch you cheating on this exam, you will receive a failing grade, and will probably fail my class."

"Complete your exam with your best effort. If you aren't sure of an answer, make an educated guess. Good luck."

Ooc: This is a chance to win some house points. In this thread, you will roleplay how your character takes an exam. Do they cheat, or are they honest (maybe include who they cheated off of)? Did your student study? Are they guessing on every question? After you are finished with your post, a Minister will tell you you your grade (Oustanding, Satisfactory, Unsatisfactory) and whether or not they got caught cheating. The grades influence how many points your house gets. No points will be awarded for an Unsatisfactory. A Satisfactory will receive 5 points, and an Outstanding will receive 10 points.

The posts must be at least 100 words long (like all posts on this site) and they must clearly say if your student cheated and whether or not they studied. Just because they cheat, doesn't mean they'll get caught. And your student could fail if they studied, or pass if they didn't study. Have fun!

Term 16 Charms Exam Empty Re: Term 16 Charms Exam

Tests weren't Birdie's strong suit. But he studied his hardest, most of the time. He had been paying lots of attention in class and he studied whenever he could. He had spent a lot of his time watching students play quidditch and sometimes he lost track of time. Studying wasn't the first thing on his mind anymore, quidditch took its place. He wanted to play the sport but he wasn't sure if he should. He would have to debate about it some other time.

The day before the exam went by quickly and he had done no studying. He had been too busy with other things. He bit his bottom lip when the test was given to him. He was so going to fail. He looked over the first question and was shocked that he knew the answer to it. He knew the amswer to quote a few but some of them made the first year stop and think about it. Finally, he was done and now he just waited.

Autumn Armstrong
Third Year
Studied a little
Didn't cheat

Charms was just one of those classes that were necessary to graduate. Autumn knew Charms were created to make everyday tasks easier, but she still found herself doing things the Muggle way. Sometimes, those things were done more effectively when they were done by hand.

That was one of the reasons Autumn found Charms almost useless. She still tried her hardest, but she never bent over backwards trying to study for the class. She did only what she thought was essential.

So when Autumn was handed her test booklet, she got to work right away. She was just going for passing. Stressing over this class was completely unnecessary, in her opinion.

Lucie Banken
Fourth Year
Studied
Didn't cheat

Lucie may have gotten away with cheating once but the after effects were such that she was determined never to feel that desperate again. Her only difficulty was finding the time to study for something she still struggled with. Still she managed it in a haphazard way. Mostly because any time she settled down to read her notes or the textbook her eyes would begin to glaze over and she'd find herself coming up with ideas for new Quidditch manoeuvres instead.

Exam day came and she felt somewhat prepared. At least it was the written portion. If it was the spell casting portion she would have had more trouble. Surprisingly some of it managed to stick in her head and the exam was a little easier to answer than she thought. However as she left she had a funny feeling she might have slipped in something about Quidditch instead of answering one or two of the questions correctly.
