Fane wasn't one to hang around an assortment of people, and even less allowed people to join him in any pranks. However, Fiona Miller had proven herself worthy of the task of being his partner in crime by not ratting him out on his simple plan to spook a few kids in the library and even joined him. He figured that was proof enough that she should at least join him in one pranking before making her a permanent partner.

But in order to do a prank, one also needed a prankee, someone to be pranked. Fane knew exactly who. The one and only ungrateful young girl who not only beat him at chess, which was one of his best games, also won herself the opportunity to cut his hair. Fortunately, his grungy hair do had grown back, but he was still out to seek revenge for his hair, the best way he knew; through a prank.

He wrote out two notes composed of two different messages and sent them out. The first one, the more simpler of the two, was a simple and vague request that Odette meet them in the portrait gallery at the said time. He took care to not sign the note by any name. The second, which was signed with his name, was more intricate, asking Fiona to help him out and explaining how the prank was going to work out. Then he waited. And waited. Until he heard approaching footsteps and received the familiar face with a smile. "You brought the stuff, right?" He asked, hoping that she had brought the gag he had asked her to.

Pranks were one of Fiona's favourite activities, something she hadn't really indulged in much since coming to Beauxbatons. Her sister, Mabel, being the only exception. Caleb was lucky to not be targeted by virtue of being her favourite cousin. It did bother her a little that she'd done virtually nothing to anyone else beside a coin trick last year and watching Fane Blevins prank some unsuspecting victims in the library with glee. That wasn't quite the same as participating.

The note she received from him with instructions on what to bring was the best type of note she could have ever received. Keeping an eye on her younger sister as instructed by her mother was tiresome, just as tiresome as sharing a room with Odette. Fiona had been tempted a few times to prank her but the types of pranks she'd come up with would have pointed Fiona as being the perpetrator. Thus she now had two reasons to be extremely happy.

She hurried along the corridors with the supplies carefully hidden in her bookbag. To anyone who didn't know her well she looked like a very studious young witch looking for somewhere quiet to study. Fiona was eager to study alright. Study how Odette would react to this prank targeted at her. It would be refreshing to have a new target. Mabel was dull and boring with her 'don't care' type of reactions and complaining she was the only Miller to get into trouble for everything. (Such a big lie).

Fiona nodded at Fane and opened up the bag. "Right here," she confirmed as she showed the content once she pulled out the book which had been her 'cover' just in case anyone suspected anything.

The components of their prank: a key and a box. There was nothing unusual about the box. Though Fane adored putting less than pleasant things in a box, like something that would start to smell after a week or so, or something that would jump out once the box was opened, but this one was empty, save for a few nuts and other little useless objects to make noise when the box was shaken. This was to intrigue the mind and make one think that all efforts to open the box would be rewarded in the end.

The key, on the other hand, was the part of the trick that really did the trick. It looked completely normal, but once someone tried to open up the lock with it, it would immediately change it's size and the lock couldn't be opened. Fane thought it would be humorous to give it to his favorite hairdresser and watch her get frustrated with his 'gift' to her.

He accepted the two things from Fiona, being secretive about it and gave her a thumbs up for a job well done. He placed the key in his pocket and hide the box behind his back. Odette should be here any moment to receive her present. "I must invite you to stay for the show," he offered to his partner in crime. No doubt she had some problems with Odette that could only be solved with a good prank.

Getting a hold of the items had been a bit of an effort on her part but the time it took would be worth it in the long run. If school work were as much fun she would have turned out to be an academic genius. Very dull and boring though. She would end up as boring as Mabel and that was a horrible thought.

"I would have protested if you barred me from the show," Fiona replied. What was the point of helping with a prank if you didn't get to see the end results? "How long before she arrives?" Hopefully not too long because waiting could be such a bore. She might end up pranking Fane which make it harder if she ever decided a pranking partner would be of use. Besides he'd be a much harder target since he'd know as many pranks as she did.

Odette followed the directions to the spot where the strange note had described. It was weird for her to recieve such a thing..she did not think it could do much harm to go see what it was for. She finally had turned the corner and saw Fane and Fiona..."Oh..." she said a bit surprised. "Hello?" She said curiously. What did they want to talk to her about. She knew Fane didnt like her all that much, however she and Fiona had ever spoken to one another before. So it was a little awkward but she decided to let it continue. "Umm...how are you?" She said as she approached, more than confused.
