Lost Owl

The indoor garden was the perfect place for Nat, Cassandra's owl, to spread his wings. Though, this time Nat had gone off on his own and Cassie was worried sick. This was the only place left to check was the garden, one of Nat's favorite places. He had never left like this before and it was very unlike him. "Nat?" Cassandra called out, looking around, avoiding stepping on plants or tripping. Her eyes searched above her, she was walking aimlessly. She had never been so worried in her life, what if he was hurt?

If he was hurt, it would be terrible. She already worried enough with his one blind eye. He could fly well, but that didn't stop her from worrying. "Nat!" she called out again, desperation in her voice. "Where are you? Come to Cassie! Please!" She shook a bag of treats which usually made Nat come in seconds. But he never showed up.

She was losing hope, maybe he had ran away. She didn't know why he would have done it, she was a great owner. She spoiled the bird, giving him what he wanted and needed. She made sure he was happy. What if he really ran away? What was she going to do then? She would be all alone at home again. When she heard footsteps, she looked behind her. "Hello?"
