Dorm 5: Homework? Nah. Empty Dorm 5: Homework? Nah.

Birdie felt out of place in his dorm, he was stuck in a girls' dorm. He couldn't, and didn't, blame the school for putting him into the dorm. It was only natural and it made everyone else comfortable. Everyone expect him. Sure, he was used to be forced into a box marked 'girl' but he didn't know how long he could take being such in this dorm with someone who didn't understand him. He was always being asked rude questions and was continued to be called a girl by his roommate. No matter how many times he told her he was a guy, she still didn't get the picture. It was like talking to a wall and the first year wasn't liking it. Not everyone accepting, and he had learned the hard way a couple of times, but he didn't go calling people things they didn't want to be called. It began to get worse when some other students called him by his birth name and not his chosen name.

But those negative things were worth it when he thought over all the things he was learning at this magical school. And all the friends he was making. He only had a few people to call his true friend but that didn't bother him one bit. It was better to have a handful of true friends than people that claimed to know you. It was tiring to keep up with all the people that seemed to know who he was and he hadn't a clue who they were. It had happened several times before and it was beginning to get a bit annoying when someone would call him by his name and he couldn't do the same to them.

Birdie felt at ease when his friends were around him and he had invited one of his friends to visit him. They were supposed to get homework done but Birdie knew that wouldn't be the case and that they would probably spend most of their time together talking. But that was alright with him because he could get his homework done at a later time.

Since coming to Beauxbatons and being sorted into her house, Angharad had made quite a few friends. She enjoyed the company of people that liked her around. However, there had been one person that really stuck in her mind. Bird. Bird had been so down to earth and seemed to understand the fundamentals of going through a rough time in life. From what he had described, it seemed to a daily thing with him. So, not only did Anha want to help comfort him, she wanted to learn more about him. Help make him feel a little less alone.

She smiled at the note that she received as she walked down the hall of the Nuage dorms and finally came upon his door. She was happen to be hanging out with him again, even if it was just studying. She lightly knocked on the door and waited for him to answer. The young girl fixed her hair quickly and with her hand clasped behind her back, waited for Bird to answer.

The young boy grinned brighty when he heard the knock on his door. He had everything he needed to get his work done and his books were ready to use for homework. He wasn't a perfect student, far from it, but he tried his best to be an average one. Coming from America made things difficult for Birdie and he hadn't learned any French before attending Beauxbatons. He quite often found himself switching from French to English without meaning to, he was still trying to get the hang of the language. When he spoke English, some of the students looked at him like he was a weird alien from a different planet. Some other kids understood him and didn't make him feel as embarassed. He liked when people understood him and not just with his languages. He liked when people understood him as a person.

"Hello," he grinned as he opened the door. He was happy to see his friend and he was glad that she had agreed to meet him at his dorm. "Ready to get some homework done?"

Anha smiled at him and nodded. "Yeah." She laughed a little and stepped inside with him. She was glad that it was a weekend and they weren't required to wear the school uniforms. Sure they were nice, but she found them hard to walk in and the heels hurt her feet. So here she was, adorned in some jeans a sweater, with a book-bag on her back, ready for homework.

When they finally were settled, she smiled at him. "What would you like to start with?" She inquired. She was pretty good at most of her subjects, but she knew there was always room for improvement. Looking over her books for a moment, she looked back up and exclaimed. "Oh, sorry!" She said. "I forgot to ask how you were." She laughed a little. She knew that it wasn't a huge deal, but it was polite.

Birdie didn't really have any problems with school work but when he did he made sure to ask his professors for help. He wasn't having any problems with his work, he just wanted to have a little study date with his friend. "Doesn't matter to me," he grinned. He didn't really care what they did as long as he eventually got his work done. Honestly, he didn't really want to do any work. He rather just talk and hang out. That seemed like a better, and more fun, idea then doing homework. "Wanna just talk?" It would be nice to get to know each to her a little better.

"I'm well," he grinned. It was nice to be asked if he was doing okay or not.

Angharad flipped the page of her book and then looked up at the boy when he asked if she just wanted to talk or not. "Um..yeah." She said with a small smile. "What do you want to talk about?" She asked about, curiously. She was always ready to learn more about a person. Would Bird be the kind of person who would join in on her adventures or just make fun of her due to her weirdness. To her, Bird didn't seem like the ladder of the two options, and she was thankful for that. It'd be nice to have someone; other than her brother; to share her ideas with, as soon as they popped into her head.

Anha grinned when Bird mention that he was doing well. She was happy that he was doing well. It was sometimes really lonely around the castle, and from what it seemed, Bird was already pretty lonely. She smiled and nodded. "That's wonderful." she said with a bright tone. "Me too!"
