Term 15 Transfiguration Exam Empty Term 15 Transfiguration Exam

Post by Professor Walker Sun Oct 19, 2014 1:10 pm

Professor Walker looked out into his crowded classroom. He watched as all of the students as they nervously dipped their quills into their inkpots. He was watching out for cheaters already.

"Welcome to your Transfiguration Exam Session," Professor Walker said. "I hope all of you have studied and are prepared for this, and each of your exams. The other professors and I have strict no-cheating policies. If I see you cheating on my exam, you will receive a zero percentage grade, and most likely fail my class."

"Give this exam your best shot. If you aren't sure of an answer, guess. A question ft unanswered is certainly wrong. Good luck to you all."

Ooc: This is a chance to win some house points. In this thread, you will roleplay how your character takes an exam. Do they cheat, or are they honest (maybe include who they cheated off of)? Did your student study? Are they guessing on every question? After you are finished with your post, a Minister will tell you you your grade (Oustanding, Satisfactory, Unsatisfactory) and whether or not they got caught cheating. The grades influence how many points your house gets. No points will be awarded for an Unsatisfactory. A Satisfactory will receive five points, and an Outstanding will receive ten points.

The posts must be at least 100 words long (like all posts on this site) and they must clearly say if your student cheated and whether or not they studied. Just because they cheat, doesn't mean they'll get caught. And your student could fail if they studied, or pass if they didn't study. Have fun!

Autumn Armstrong
Second Year
Studied
Didn't cheat

Autumn knew that this exam was important for her. She studied intensely. She didn't even talk to anyone when she was studying. She cancelled any plans she had with Gregory and/or Julie-Pierre to read and memorize the chapter of the book.

Greg openly told Autumn that she was ridiculous, but she didn't care. She was going to pass the test and she was going to do it her way.

So when she got her test booklet, she made sure to mark the answers perfectly and wrote with her best handwriting. Then, she double and triple checked her answers. As soon as Professor Walker announced the end of the exam session, she smiled, satisfied with her work.

Term 15 Transfiguration Exam Empty Re: Term 15 Transfiguration Exam

Post by Guest Mon Oct 20, 2014 2:45 pm

After spending most of her summer learning French and reading magazines, she felt better about the French language and about herself. She could now understand things and knew what she was doing in class. She still wasn't the best student but she at least knew that she was learning things and understood what professors were saying. She still caught herself speaking Spanish sometimes but when she was a Beauxbatons she mostly spoke French. Now that she knew French, she could study far more better than she could last year. So, when Professor Walker announced their test would be coming up, she studied her butt off in hopes to get a good (or great) grade.

She wasn't nervous like she was supposed to be. Instead, she had a foreign confidence that she only got when she was allowed to wear something that wasn't her uniform or when she noticed that she was the only one to have the new Gucci bag. She eyed the people around the classroom and grinned. She could do this. Once the test was presented to her, she wasted no time and began right away.

Term 15 Transfiguration Exam Empty Re: Term 15 Transfiguration Exam

Christine Henrau
Seventh Year
Studied
Didn't Cheat

Christine knew this year would matter more than any of her previous six years at Beauxbatons.  It was the year which would determine if she was good enough to choose any job she wished.  She knew what she wanted to do next year but to have options to be good enough to have any career she wished would be the best way to end her student years.  Thus the effort she always put into her studies was increased even more.

She heard the warning given by Professor Walker but knew she wouldn't need to guess.  She had the answers in her head and they were coming out on paper.  If she did well in this test which she was sure she had done she would also do well in her final exam.  Christine finished answering the last question and replaced her quill into the inkpot.  The final exam would likely be harder than this test had been but she was sure she wouldn't struggle with that one any more than she had this.  Transfiguration was common sense. She knew it inside out and Christine left the room with the confidence she had entered before the exam.

Lucie Banken
Third Year
Sort of Studied
Cheated

Lucie's original plan had been to study as hard as she could for the Transfiguration exam but she was struggling with the class.  It wasn't just the wand work. It was everything and the night before the test she was in a panic.  She wasn't thinking clearly and her mind went to possible ideas of how to cheat. Ideas which she'd overheard her brothers talking of during the holidays.  Ways her older brother had actually tried and apparently got away with.

She sat at a desk feeling very nervous about this whole idea.  What would her mother say if Lucie were caught?  Her grandparents?  She swallowed at the warning about cheating Professor Walker gave and moved her arm hearing the slight crinkle up her sleeve.  Lucie swallowed again.  Did anyone else hear that?  The test had begun and Lucie hadn't yet moved. She had to get moving.  Start reading the questions at least.

Lucie closed her eyes and then opened them again.  Her eyes fell on the first question and then the next and the next.  She couldn't do this without help and carefully peaked up the sleeve of her robes.  Her eyes returned to the page in front of her and she looked for a question which would help most with what she'd written earlier.  There.  Soon enough she was doing the same with other questions.  One last one she didn't feel the need for cheating at all and answered it to the best of her abilities.  It wasn't complete cheating.  Not that question and she left the room half fearing she would be found out.

Riley Ainsworth
Third Year
He Studied, Duh
Didn't Cheat

Upon hearing about the Transfiguration exam, Riley dropped almost everything that didn't have anything to do with studying, homework, or schoolwork. He kept himself locked in his dorm studying hard for the exam. He was on a schedule. Classes, meals, study, sleep. Repeat. Meal times were the only time he ever got a break and he still had a book in his hand as he ate. He was always careful not to get anything on his books and usually put them away before the meal ended.

When the day of the test came, he was satisfied with himself. He had done a great job at studying, he just knew it. Once the test was passed out he quickly began filling out answers, grinning as he did so. He was very sure that he was going to ace this exam and he'd send another letter home saying he had done well on an exam. He was finished with time to spare so he flipped his test over and set his quill down and waited for the tests to be collected.

Term 15 Transfiguration Exam Empty Re: Term 15 Transfiguration Exam

Julie-Pierre Krischstein
Second Year
Studied
Didn't cheat

Even though the boy had studied, for once in his life, Julie-Pierre felt a horrid lack of confidence through him. His grades had been slipping a lot as of late, and he really did need to do something about it. This was what he got for slacking about through the term.

Still, thanks to his friend Autumn, as well as Haruri when he met her sometimes, he was starting to come back to his feet and senses. Now, if only this had happened sooner. The redhead was doing decent in some classes, but was behind in all of them, this subject no exception. He needed to get a good grade to boost his grade if he wanted to pass the term. Something about not continuing on through the classes with his friends seemed off, and he didn't want to find out how it felt to be left behind.

He knew better than to cheat. Even with as little confidence that he had, the German boy knew better than to do so. The child would have been no better than anyone who didn't study and let everything waste away within their hands. He let his flower begin to wilt, but now he was getting the water, soil and sunlight it needed all along to help it come back to its proper, luxurious state.
