Singing wasn't something the young girl was good at. When she sang she sounded like a dying animal. She was in no hurry to get to the library to sudy, insteand she stood outside the musical classroom. Altogether, you couldn't hear the ones that weren't very good. They sounded good as a group. She knew the song they were soninhg so she hummed along. No way was she going to sing when people could hear her. She was too shy and she was a terrible singer. But, she enjoyed it. So, that's all that counted, right?

Indigo sat against the wall and pulled out her journal. She began to write out a song as she listened to the class sing. She was hardly any good at this but she wanted to be creative. Her journal was filled with all sorts of things; personal things, drawings, and other normal things that teenage girls wrote about. "Da, da, da," she whispered the melody.

Lately, Milan had been greatly subdued and, for the first time in her life, "quiet." Of course, everyone expected that. Her best friend in the world, Serah, had disappeared... Milan's throat clenched and she felt tears threatening to spill. Instead she cleared her throat and burst into quiet song. It was a simple melody, a Muggle song, fairly catchy but quite old. It was one of the songs Milan and her Muggle friends groaned and complained about whenever it turned up on the radio, but secretly they all had nostalgia for it. Had Serah ever heard her sing? She wasn't sure. She kept on walking and singing softly, her mind painful. Maybe Serah was still out there....they had found her wand, in a hole...she would've taken it with her...

No, Milan told herself stubbornly. You can't think that, there's no proof, no body, even a wizard couldn't vanish a body into thin air, why would someone want to kill Serah...

Her throat tightening, the lyrics were becoming shaky. In a single glance inside the musical classroom door she saw something that triggered something in her brain. A small, quiet girl, doodling in her journal...

Milan stopped. It was still a while until her next class, and anyway who cared if she was late, everyone would probably assume she was crying in a bathroom and would feel sorry for her. The girl inside at the moment seemed so much like Serah, even if she didn't look anything like Serah. It was Indigo, the Quidditch announcer. "Hi," she said with a smile, stepping into the classroom. One glimpse of the journal confirmed her suspicions, it was exactly like Serah's,  full of drawings and scribbles. "I-I'm Milan. Serah's friend. Did you know her? I think Serah mentioned you once. You probably heard about what happened..." She stopped and slid down against a wall next to Indigo.

She hadn't expected anyone to come up to her. But some had and that made her cover up her journal with her arms. It would be so embarrassing if someone read what she wrote. Most of it was nonsense but there were some very personal. But she didn't seem to be snoopinhg into her business. Instead she seemed more interested in the fact that herfriend had left. She knew the name but she didn't know her that well. She had only met her once and that was during her first year. She had started a fight with an older student and it had made Indigo uncomfortable.

"I only met her once," she admitted. She had no idea what the older girl was going on about. It wasn't that she didn't care, she just didn't know Serah well enough to know anything about her. She mentioned her? She hardly knew her. "I don't know anything."

"Oh," she nodded, remembering more now what Indigo was like. She was that quiet, mostly inconspicuous girl, which was way it had been surprising that she'd become a Quidditch announcer. Milan shouldn't have expected long heartfelt speeches about Serah from her, still she was a bit disappointed. Either way, Milan was known to draw out a conversation from anyone, even if it was a long rant about how annoying she was.

"Well, Indigo, do you like singing? You don't seem like it, I mean, you're very quiet. Then again, nobody expected you to be a Quidditch announcer. Do you like Quidditch? You know me, right? Cerisier Chaser? The one Heather Davies hates?" Milan grinned at the last one. "Oh, and don't worry, I didn't see anything in your journal. I mean, the doodles and stuff just reminded me of Serah's journal, that's all. I think it's very creative and lovely, I could never sit down and do that. Oh yeah! Who do you think will win the Quidditch Cup? Of course, you're biased towards your own House, but thoughts on each team?" She looked at the girl expectantly. "Erm, I don't expect you to answer all of that, of course," she added hurriedly.

Singing well was different from liking to sing, she did she a tune or two. But did she do it well? No, she didn't. She was cursed with a terrible singing voice but that didn't get in her way. The third year didn't sing in front of people, she sang by herself when no one was around. She was afraid that someone would tell her to stop and that she was completely horrid at holding a note. "I don't sing well, but I do enjoy it," she admitted softly. There was no way she was going to sing in front of anyone, not even Cori and she was her best friend.

She thought the girl was going to stop talking since there was nothing really to talk about. But instead, she switched the subject to quidditch and began to talk even more. Indigo could hardly keep up with the things that she was saying, but she tried her best to answer all her questions. "I'm not a big quidditch fan, I only tried out for announcer because of my best friend." She would do anything for Cori and she hoped that she felt the same. "I'm not sure," she admitted. She hardly cared though, she knew that Montagnard wasn't going to be in the third round and she wouldn't be able to see Cori in action.
