The Quidditch Expert Empty The Quidditch Expert

Fiona should never have played that prank with the spark plugs. If she'd left them well enough alone she would still be working at Mister Van Allen's. Instead she was in a Quidditch shop of all places. She'd hated the game when she'd accidentally passed her tryout and she still hated the game. Yet here she was working in a shop selling Quidditch equipment and paraphernalia all because of a prank.

She finished polishing the bludgers and turned to the sound of the door opening. Another customer. Here was the part she was good at. She assumed the position and stepped forward. "Good afternoon," she said in her haughtiest voice. "I am Felicia Millard renowned Quidditch expert sent here to answer all your questions. Ask me and you will have your answer for all questions Quidditch." She stepped back and folded her hands neatly in front of her body as she waited for the question.

To Luna, Quidditch was a mystery of balls and broomsticks, and other crap. She decided to look around the shop and then go buy some magical candy. Whatever. Once she opened the door, she was greeted by a very young lady who claimed to be a Quidditch expert. Heck, that lady didn't look a day over 19.

"Oh, um... I'm just looking around. Why not help that person over there?" Luna pointed to a guy examining a Firebolt, then ran off to the corner of the store. She was busy looking at a case containing a shiny red Quaffle when a pretty broomstick caught her attention. "How much is this broomstick?" Luna asked the "Quidditch expert". This expert was probably a shophand trying to impress customers.

She looked around to where the girl was pointing and shook her head. "He has already informed this expert that help was not required. He will regret his decision if he buys that particular firebolt." There was nothing wrong with the broom but planting thoughts of paranoia in people's heads was something Fiona believed she was good at. Hadn't it worked when she suggested Mabel was a vampire? Of course at the time there really was a vampire hanging around but there were other times which just didn't stand out as clearly as that one. The girl, however was already gone. Another person was needed to relieve boredom until another job could be handed over to her.

Fiona had barely gone two paces when the girl was asking for her help. An easy question. "Two hundred and seventy five galleons," she returned promptly. "Not a bad buy. Of course for the really good brooms you will need to spend at least three hundred galleons. Top of the range brooms are even more but I believe they do have a few issues such as not braking fast enough because they do travel so fast. Not a good thing if you're about to crash into a thestral."
