Melanie wasn’t able to visit Hayden over winter break. Her parents felt bad about it, but Mrs. Arnett wanted the whole family together for the entire break and for Christmas. So, needless to say, Melanie was mopey. She and Hayden were back to how things were prior to Beauxbatons, emailing each other and sending pictures. She let him have Willow for the break it was only fair.

Currently, the eldest Arnett was face down in her bed, pulling the sheets closer to her. It was cold as heck and all she wanted was to snuggle with her friend and cat. She could tell her family was getting pretty fed up with moping around, McKenna and Cori especially.

Melanie groaned at the sound of knocking on her door. The knock had a weird pattern and belonged to both of her sisters. “Go away!” She called and sighed as the door clicked open, rolling over to look at the wall. “Go away you two.”
