MAC Meeting: Fun in the Sun Empty MAC Meeting: Fun in the Sun

Games were something that Caleb loved, since it was his last year at Beauxbatons he thought it would be nice to play outside. He had written letters to his mother asking for some supplies for the meeting. A few weeks after his first letter, he got a package with all the things he would need. They were going to have so much fun! He just knew it. He had forgot to run the idea by Fiona, but he hoped she didn't mind too much. He was sure she would enjoy the activities he had planned anyways.

He carried the box outside, his cat Candy trailing behind him. He ripped open the box and dumped out the supplies; bubbles, sparklers, and other summer activities. There was a note telling him to be careful and come home with all of his fingers. He stuck out his tongue, she didn't say anything about toes. He made sure to tell all the members to come outside for the meeting.

When everyone was there, he paced back and forth. "As you may know, it's my last year here at Beauxbatons. But, this is not a sad time, this will be a happy time." He grinned at the members. "We're all here for the same reason; muggles. My brother was unfortunate and was born into a magical family without being magical himself. He doesn't mind though, he's very supportive of me and learning magic."

He cleared his throat and eyed the crowd to make sure they were still listening. "We always had fun during the summer; blowing bubbles, watching fireworks, making sand castles." He made sure that he picked a warm day to go outside. "Today, we're going to do just. Well, not building sand castles since we don't have sand. Also, my mother wouldn't let me have fireworks, so she gave me sparklers instead."

He opened the box of sparklers and pulled one out. "We need to be very careful 'cause I don't want anyone to get hurt." He pulled open his bag and pulled out his wand. "Incendio," he pointed his wand toward the stick. It began to spark with a light light. "See, isn't that cool?" He grinned.

Fiona had no clue if Caleb had anything planned for the club meeting. He'd been awfully difficult to pin down lately and she just gave up. She'd just leave him to do all the work since next year she would have to do it herself. That was if they didn't manage to get a new co-leader out of the members to help. Then she'd get them to do all the work. Fiona would already have her hands full with prefect duties and those dreaded final exams. If Caleb wasn't so concerned about the exams it was no skin off her nose.

She was most certainly pleased when she received the notice that they were to meet down on the grounds. That had to mean he'd done it all on his own. Yes. Fiona got to keep her co-leader status without doing any of the work and the sixth year hurried on down with a beaming smile.

"Hey Caleb," she called out after he finished his demonstration with the sparklers. "Why didn't you light it the muggle way. You know. Matches? It isn't like you couldn't get hold of them since we did have to do that transfiguration lesson back in first year." Fiona shook her head at his method of sparkler lighting in a club which was essentially about the muggle way of life.

"My mother won't let me play with matches," he admitted. "Something about catching my hair on fire or something." He shrugged, he didn't think he would cause that much trouble. "She said I did it once before, but I don't remember." He did remember though, it was embarrassing to talk about. Catching your hair on fire with your birthday candles was not a fun story to tell. "Even if she's not here, she still knows everything. She has eyes everywhere." He wasn't scared of his mother, he just didn't want to disobey her.

"Anyways, feel free to do whatever you like and have a fun time. If you have any questions, Fiona and I would be happy to help." Once the club went to do their own things, Caleb began to write his name in the air with the sparkler. He always loved playing with these with his older brother, he always had so much fun.

Fiona grinned and nodded. "That was funny," she replied, "but it's silly of Auntie Joy to still ban you from using matches now. I mean you could still catch your hair on fire using your wand or that sparkler." Fiona laughed. "That's 'cause I know and see all and report back to her. Only joking. It's Mabel." She paused. "Or Grace."

The sixth year went for the bubble blower and blew bubbles in the faces of the other club members. "Watch out," she cried gleefully. This really was lots of fun and Fiona hoped she ended up with a co-leader next year to help with more fun ideas to do with muggles. "Okay now. How about everyone share what their favourite summer activity is? Mine's kicking sand in my sister's face." Not really since the one time she attempted had not resulted in a pleasant punishment.

Harley knew firecrackers very well. Every New Year, the entire city of Westminster would shoot the fiery things into the air and watch them explode with ooh and ahs. She giggled softly at Caleb. She had caught her hair on fire before and remembered it quite well, so there was no way he had actually forgotten.

She had no clue what to do, though, she she just followed Fiona to the bubbles. She picked up the container with the soapy liquid and dipped the stick in it a couple times before blowing hundreds of tiny bubbles. As the bubbles from the machine came towards her face, she carefully swatted them away laughing. She had forgotten how much fun summer was. "My favourite summer activity would be... beach volleyball." Harley had always been good with sports.
