Wizard Card Collection Empty Wizard Card Collection

Post by Malachi St. Holmes Mon Mar 17, 2014 5:34 pm

Malachi was ecstatic, for with his last parcel from his Mama and Papa, they were kind enough to send him not one, not two, but three boxes of chocolate frogs! Far too young to be able to visit the Village of Cheval, it had been months since Malachi was able to get his hands on such a delicacy. Actually, he had to admit he cared less for the charmed chocolate frog and more about the collectors card inside. He had quite an extensive collection and was aiming towards filling out his entire set someday. However, the task proved impossible.

Sheer self control was required to keep Kai from ripping open all three boxes on the spot. He had opened one during lunch and saved the other two for now. Taking a seat in the common room, he placed down the stack of cards he had already and turned to the box. It saddened him when the frog got away, feeling that it was a waste of perfectly good chocolate, so he often took these moments pretty seriously. He slowly opened up the pentagon shaped box and waited for the frog to jump out like expected. He was ready when the small chocolate did so and caught it in his other hand, placing the head of the frog in his mouth and biting down on the chocolate. He munched on the frog while he pried out the collectors card. He sunk a bit in his chair when he saw who it was. "Ach, another Bertie Botts!" He had at least two of those so far. Turning to his last box, he repeated the process mentioned beforehand, however, unlike the first time, the frog managed to escape his grip and started hopping along the common room and other students.

"Stop that frog!" Malachi called, the red haired boy chasing after the small frog, occasionally bumping into people, to which he uttered a sorry and then continued. He wasn't going to give up until he knew he had truly lost the frog.

Harley was quiet and sneaky, so it was rare for the other wizards in her house to notice when she sneaked back into her room. Her nimbleness and slinky figure allowed her to move past people without her bumping into them and causing a commotion. Apparently, though, one kid did that just fine as he shoved his way past people in search of something. She barely understood what he was saying, but one thing grabbed her attention. "Stop that frog!"

She whirled around and looked around the floor for anything that resembled the slimy amphibian. A brown frog leaped from the table in front of her and nearly hit in in the face with its confectionary legs before she yelled out. "It's right there!"

Malachi chased after the frog like a hound after a fox, with little consideration for the surrounding objects. He knocked over a small table and then lunged forward towards where a girl was sitting. The frog landed on the girl's face momentarily before leaping away once again. However, Malachi strove to capture the chocolate amphibian before he saw it move on and accidentally slapped the girl on the forehead.

"Traurig!" He quickly jumped back and looked at the girl he had just hit with a reddened face. She looked familiar, but he couldn't place a name to her face. "I was just-! I'm so sorry! I was so careless!" He truly felt bad and forgot about the frog for a good moment. He wanted to make sure he didn't just make himself a powerful enemy, knowing some people were so touchy like that.

Harley didn't know what was happening until it hit her in the face, literally. Her head was spinning for a second, but she had accidentally hit herself harder before, and she knew he didn't do it on purpose. "It's fine, es war ein Unfall," she said, rubbing the part of her face that seemed to burn the most. The pain faded away quickly and she smiled. "Ich werde helfen, den Frosch," she laughed. "Be happy it was me and not someone else. I know that other people can be more sensitive to things like this."

She took a glance around the room and saw that people were beginning to leave to their dorms, after all, it was starting to get late. In a minute everyone except her and the boy were gone, and Harley pulled her wand out of her bag. She took a glance around the room and realized that there was more damage than was let on. First, was a broken flower vase and a torn banner that loosely hung from the wall. "Reparo," she whispered, atching as her wand sprouted a bright light that stitched together the tapestry and collected all the pieces of the shattered vase. Next was the knocked over table and smears of chocolate. "Scourgify," she said, slightly louder this time. The room instatly swept aside all dirt and rubbed away any smears of chocolate left. "There, all better. Now, where did that frog go?"
Translation: It was an accident; I'll help find the frog

The girl responded just as well as anyone who had just been knocked in the head could, which made Malachi feel a bit more at ease. He felt embarrassed though that he had run around so carelessly. He hardly ever did that and felt that only rabble rousers did such things. However, he decided to keep his mouth shut for fear of spilling hundreds of apologies upon the girl.

"R-really?" Malachi stuttered. He didn't think she'd offer to help after he nearly knocked her out. However, she seemed seriously and as the number of people in the room dwindled down, the pair were left with a rather inconvenient sized mess in the commons. "If a professor walked in right now, we'd be in trouble for sure." Malachi said with a gulp as he ducked to pick up a table he had carelessly knocked over.

His brown eyes widened as he watched the girl use magic to clean up. He had still yet to master the spells learned that year and therefore was hardly capable of casting much else besides some simplistic charms. "Ah grandios!" He remarked. Then, remembering his frog was still lose, he dropped on his hands and knees to take a better look.

"You do not suppose that the frog escaped when people were leaving the classroom?" Malachi offered, a frown tugging at his lip at the thought.
