We Probably Should Be Reading

Serah and Milan were meeting in the library.

After their levitation prank in Charms class, Professor Boux assigned the two girls a project on types of flying in the wizarding world.

So Serah already had several books around her at a large table. She had opened the first one, a book of levitation charms that told a little bit of levitating's history.

After about five minutes of reading, she was bored. Hopefully Milan is better at being dilligent, Serah thought.

Serah put that book down, and grabbed another book. It was just as boring.

Serah groaned and laid her head down on the table.

Milan casually strolled to the library, thinking over the plan in her head. Maybe Serah would be annoyed for her tardiness, but she couldn't wait to see the look on her face when Milan caused the little distraction. She'd had a lot of ideas in mind, but unfortunately she had to tone them down to avoid getting kicked out of the library.

However, when she saw the librarian, Milan's brain stopped dead. The librarian had a sharp, hooked nose and a tight bun. Shockingly-defying all librarian stereotypes in her mind-she was wearing a motorcycle jacket and leather boots. Her eyes pierced into Milan's brain, making her feel suddenly uneasy.

She found Serah, looking frustrated amongst a pile of books. "Hey," she whispered, "got anything good?" Certain the answer was no, Milan moved on quickly. "Anyway, want to give the librarian a shock and change these books a little?"

Serah lifted her head out of the book. She smoothed her messy hair. "Maybe these books are good. But-t they don't hold my interest. I'd rather read a novel" Serah replied.

Serah internally groaned when Milan suggested a prank in the library. Serah didn't want the scary-looking librarian after her.

And the last thing Milan and Serah needed was to be kicked out of the library before they could write their paper.

"W-we really need to write this paper, Milan. We can prank later. I don't want to get on Professor Boux's hit-list.That would be the complete opposite of good."

She didn't really want a 'bad kid' label. She wanted a fun kid label.
