Tuck in That Tail, Little Duck
Mabel didn't get along with anyone very well, especially her sisters. But, though she'd never admit it, she worried about them. It was Grace's first year and Mabel and Fiona were put in charge of making sure Grace was fine. Like Mabel would actually help her sister, no way was that happening! But the younger girl seemed nervous, so Mabel let out a sigh. This was only going to happen once, she was going to...be nice.
"Grace, sit still," she said to her squirmy sister. "There's nothing to worry about." She eyed her sister and let out another sigh. "Tuck in your shirt, I shouldn't see it underneath your uniform." She pointed out how her own shirt was tucked in and wasn't visible because of the uniform's jacket. The uniform consisted of a shirt, a jacket, and skirt for the girls and trousers for the boys. "What are you so nervous about?"

Grace didn't get along with Mabel and Fiona usually, but she did care about them both. The thing she hated more than anything was this uniform though. Grace did not want to wear a skirt. "I should've just gotten a guy's uniform." She murmured. "I'm nervous that I'll get there and everyone is going to hate me. Or I'll get into Cerisier and you and Fiona and Caleb won't talk to me. Or that I'll get eaten by a troll. Or that I'll be a terrible witch and mum and dad won't be proud. Or that I won't be someone."

"There's nothing to worry about," Mabel stated harshly. "I've been in the dungeons at night and nothing happen besides getting caught. And I wouldn't talk to you no matter what house you were in so don't worry about that, I'm sure Caleb will do whatever he can to make sure you're comfortable at Beauxbatons. You don't have to worry about people hating you, they'll be hating me instead."
Mabel sighed at her little sister. "You're only a first year, you're learning the ropes. You'll get the hang of it so don't worry about that. Just stop worrying." She opened her book bag and took out a small feather. "I found this at school and its been my lucky charm ever since." She had fixed the feather so it was able to be put in hair. She clipped it into her younger sister's hair. "Now stop worrying about everything and just enjoy yourself."

Grace's eyes widened when the feather clipped into her hair. Mabel gave her a gift? She could count on her fingers the number of times in the past few years Mabel had been the bearer of gifts, but Grace wasn't going to complain. She poked the feather and smiled widely. "Thank you, Mabel." Grace grinned. "Maybe you're right. I have my new friend Tamara and that Ruby girl too. This might be a great year after all." Grace smiled a small and bright smile. "I'll try to enjoy myself, but maybe, just maybe could we hang out every once in a while. We could go for a walk once a week or something and take pictures."

Re: Tuck in That Tail, Little Duck
This was the only time Mabel was ever going to be nice to her little sister. Something like this only ever happened when a miracle was taking place. "Not going to happen," Mabel warned. "This is the only time I will ever be nice and I do not want to hang out with you. Actually, no one needs to know that I'm related to your geeky self. Besides, I have friends of my own and I'd rather be by myself." Her plans for the year consisted of reading, studying, and practicing quidditch so she'd be good enough to try out for the beater position for next year. "I have plans already."
