Trust Fall

Cyrus had lived his entire life in France and never once had he considered he'd run into a celebrity but he quite literally had bumped into Oliver Clark, an actor Cyrus wasn't really interested in but knew of. Thankfully there was no split coffee but the two shared a scone while they chatted; Cyrus preferred to listen. He read Oliver's lips and imagined how soft they might be. The other man was patient as he waited for Cyrus to reply to him in his notebook. He didn't mind that Oliver was doing most of the talking even though he knew a spell that brought subtitles to live by the movement of his lips. Translations weren't the best but it got the job done. Numbers were exchanged and texts were sent back and forth; nothing serious. He found himself in the actor's bed a handful of times but he was surprised when he received a text asking if he'd be interested in meeting a friend of his hookup. If he didn't know any better, it sounded like his hookup was trying to hook him up with someone else. What was said about him? What did Oliver tell his stranger about him?

He wore his softest, most comforting sweater he owned to calm his nerves. It felt strange to be set up like this and butterflies fluttered his stomach. He had never been on a date with someone he had never met before, if it was a date. Oliver asked him to meet one of his friends, that didn't mean a date. But it did mean Oliver thought it was someone he'd get along with so he would try to make a good impression. Meeting new people made him nervous but with the help of a picture on his phone, he hopefully wouldn't approach the wrong person. He already had the question written on his notebook, Teddy?, he held the notebook up as he approached the other man. He bit his bottom lip; sucking the lip gloss off his lip in the process.
