The Last Song Empty The Last Song

Post by Ryan Green Wed Oct 29, 2014 9:54 pm

It was Ryan's last year at Beauxbatons and he wasn't going to skip the Valentine's Day Dance. He was going to spend the rest of the year doing things that he wanted to do and he was going to have a good time. He still didn't know what he was going to do with the rest of his life but he didn't want to think about it at that dance. The grand hall was beautifully decorated like it always was this time of year. He wasn't one to get into Valentine's Day and he wasn't impressed any of it. He wasn't much of a romantic and used money to buy things to make people happy. Only once or twice did he go out of his way to do something romantic. He was dressed in the dress robes since he had not grown and didn't see any reason to get new ones, that was just a waste of money.

He had entered the dance with his girlfriend but he just wasn't feeling it today. Maybe it was because of all the other couples around them acting all lovey dovey. He wasn't quite sure what was up with him. Maybe it was because he had nothing figured out and he was worried about how things were going to be after school ended. "Want to dance?" he said loudly over the music to Harley. He held out his hand for her to take.

The Last Song Empty Re: The Last Song

Ryan looked amazing. That was easy enough to say. He was already normally gorgeous in his uniform, but goddamn did his dress robes make him looklike some ethereal figure. Compared to him, she probably looked like a troll. Harley nervously twiddled with the hem of her dress as she entered the dance. She had gone last year, but she only stayed for a while before leaving. Parties were more Ryan's scene than hers, which was totally okay. This year, though, she wanted to stay and try to make an impact of some kind, no matter what it was. Nonetheless, she took Ryan's warm, yet comfortable hand into her probably freezing one and walked into the grand hall.

The first thing she noticed was the effort put into making the hall look so perfect. It wasn't overly Valentine-themed, yet it got the message across, and Harley was in love with how beautifully simple it looked. The second thing that was easily noticed, was how into each other everyone seemed at the dance. It was ridiculously easy to pick out the couple, they were so... together. Although they never talked as much or went on dates anymore, her heart still did that weird fluttering thing when he reached out his hand to dance. She smiled and nodded and let him lead her onto the dance floor.

The Last Song Empty Re: The Last Song

Once they were on the dance floor, Ryan put his hands on Harley's waist. The song was slow and it was nice for couples that were too into each other. The amount of people snogging were too many to count and the dance floor lacked dancing couples. He didn't need to kiss his girofriend for people to know that they were together. It was kind of gross to see the couple who did nothing but make out. It was nice to have a conversation instead of trading spit. "Couples are gross," he joked with a chuckle. He nodded towards several couples who were too preoccupied with each other to noticed that he was pointing them out.

Ryan wasn't much of a romantic so he hasn't bought flowers or asked her to the dance in some special way. It just wasn't him.. What made him date-able? Why would anyone want to date him? He was a jerk and didn't play well with others. He had just assumed that Harley wanted to go to the dance. "How did you want to get asked to the dance?"
