Back to Good
Serah liked her new job. She liked being an Obliviator. Easing and erasing people's minds was soothing and therapeutic to her. She liked that she would get to like in Cheval. She liked that she could see her step-sister on the weekends.
And Serah really liked her new paycheck. That was definitely the icing on the cake. And today was payday. She needed to get some money that morning before she went to meet Garnet, so she apparated herself to Banque de L'or early, knowing that it would be crowded with Beauxbatons students.
Serah hadn't been in the bank for very long when she saw a familiar face. A very familiar face. And before she knew what she was doing, her legs were carrying her over to the man.
She hadn't met up with any of her old Beauxbatons classmates, so she had no idea how one would react to her or if they'd even recognize her. But this was Ryan. The boy she spent so much time thinking about. The boy she went on her first date with. Hell, he was probably the first boy outside of her family she'd ever even talked to. She couldn't miss this opportunity. And maybe he still had connections and maybe knew how to contact Milan. And maybe part of her wanted to show him what he was missing out on.
"Ryan!" she said with a grin, trying to keep the Estonian accent out of her voice. "It's so good to see you! How are you?"

Re: Back to Good
Ryan had no social life, he had a child and a job. There was no time to do anything when he was taking care of a two year old and working a shitty job. He was saving up to buy a new place for the two of them instead of the crappy apartment that they lived in. Wynter was the top priority in his life and he would give her the world. He would do anything for his daughter and he planned a bright future for the girl. He looked a lot like his mother but had his eyes. Those bright blue eyes could make him melt.
He held his daughter close to his chest as he walked through the crowed bank. He just had to put some money into his account and then he was done. He was waiting in one of the lines when his name was called. He turned to see someone that looked familiar but he couldn't place who it was. But then it hit him, Serah. "Hey," he said. Wynter looked up at her dad then began to whine, she wanted down but there was no way Ryan would let that happen.
When she began to cry, Ryan pulled her binkie out of her diaper bag and stuck it into his daughter's mouth. Finally she was calm and he could continue his conversation. "I'm good." Wynter held her blanker closer as she stared at the stranger.

Re: Back to Good
Serah smiled and waved at the girl in Ryan's arms when she couldn't think of a response to Ryan's not-question right away. It was obvious that the girl was his daughter (her eyes were exactly Ryan's), but she didn't know how to approach it.
"That's great," Serah replied finally. She turned her attention back to the pair of eyes holding the toddler. "She's beautiful, Ryan. What's her name? How old is she?"
Serah only had one legitimate guess as to who the mother could be. But it was still a long shot. And she didn't think it really mattered. And all that she knew for sure was that Ryan had a daughter. It was wrong to make assumptions.

Re: Back to Good
Wynter turned her attention back to her father and whined, she hid her face in his shirt. Ryan smiled and pressed a kiss to her hair. He was so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter, such a beautiful angel. He felt like the luckiest guy on the planet, he was the luckiest. Even though he wasn't getting any help from her mother, Ryan couldn't complain much about the situation he was in. He was working on things and he was working his butt off. Things were hard but he was trying and that's all he could do. "She's shy," he explained softly. That wasn't something she got from her father or mother, they were both pretty confident people. Maybe she had gotten it from Kai when he was around, it made perfect sense.
"This is Wynter, she's two." He could go on and on about his daughter and how much she has grown. How much she grows everyday. She was his world, his everything. "What have you been up to?" He didn't care much but it was only fair for him to ask.

Re: Back to Good
Serah could completely understand the shy feeling. She wasn't exactly the most outgoing person. If she had seen anyone other than Ryan, she probably would have run off. "Hi, Wynter!" she greeted. "My name is Serah."
Not that Ryan's daughter would remember or care. Serah just hated it when people failed to recognize children as people. She tried her best to remember to include them.
Serah smiled. She knew Ryan just felt obligated to ask. He looked exhausted. "A whole bunch of nothing, actually. I just moved back here so I could work for the Ministry. And my stepsister is off to Beauxbatons this year. Fairly uninteresting. What about you? Anything interesting happening?"
