I Wish I Could Go In

For a child that loved animals, it was a disappointment to be allergic to animals. Why did pets have to produce dander? If they just didn't bathe themselves, he'd be okay. Why did his body insist on trying to kill him when all he wanted was to hug animals?

He sighed as he waited outside for Kat to find the perfect kitty friend. Each time the door opened, his skin crawled, but it would be worth it to see Kat smile. And when she came out, he'd smile and scratch any itches in silence. Maybe he could find a way to compromise with himself.
