The Stars in Our Sky

One of Hayden's favorite things to do was to watch the stars before curfew. They'd been forecasting a big storm soon, so Hayden was watching the stars before he wouldn't be able to for a couple days. The nice thing about winter is he could see the stars since four thirty. It was only six now. He'd forgotten a jacket and was shivering wickedly. He smelled the hot chocolate a while before he heard a familiar set of feet. He couldn't help but smile a bit. It was Melanie. He turned around as she approached to see her with a blanket and two steaming thermoses. "Hey there." Hayden smiled brightly at Melanie.

Melanie knew of Hayden’s stargazing habit and found it kind of adorable. She swung by his dorm and found it empty, so she knew just where he would be. The observatory. Melanie made a quick stop to the kitchens for hot chocolate and swung by her dorm for a blanket and soon she found her friend. She smiled happily and she was never light on her feet, so of course he heard her. Melanie smiled and brandished the thermoses. “Hey there, Galileo.” She teased and tucked the blanket around Hayden before sitting beside him and holding out the hot chocolate to him. “You really shouldn’t forget a jacket, mister.”
