Creepy Paintings Empty Creepy Paintings

“You probably shouldn’t be in here,” a man said to Serah as she walked into the consignment shop.

Serah ignored him and headed straight for the artwork.

It was an eclectic mix of subjects. There was a painting of a skull directly next to a photo of a child playing in a field. There was a painting of a woman without mouth, that made the whole piece look unfished. And directly to its right was a drawing of eyeballs in a glass jar that looked so gruesome that Serah had to turn away.

She walked a couple of inches and stopped when she saw a painting of herself. She was surprised, not because it was of herself (according to the signature, her father, a famous artist, had painted it), but because it was so realistic that it could have been a photo. The painting-Serah wasn’t posed. She wasn’t smiling. Her green eyes focused on something out of the frame. Her blonde hair was in its usual tangled fashion and her eyeliner was messy as usual. She couldn't remember when her dad had made it.

But for some reason, Serah found the painting of herself to be entirely too disturbing to fully enjoy. So she went back to the other artwork.

She was admiring a picture of two people playing chess, when she noticed someone (a Beauxbatons student, most likely) admiring the art, too.

"Hello!" Serah greeted.
