Haven't Had Enough Empty Haven't Had Enough

After a while of dancing with Payton, Adela decided to take a short break. When Pay left to go get some punch for the two of them, the ginger noticed his brother off talking to Caleb. She wondered if he had figured out that the poor boy thought it was a date yet. If not someone should probably let him in on it. Being the good friend that she is, Adela decided to head over there.

The Montagnard approached her friends. "Hey Caleb, do mind if I borrow Sawyer for a little while? Thanks!" Before he had a chance to reply, Adela was grabbing Sawyer by the arm and dragging to the other side of the dance floor. "Hello Sweetie," she said with a flirtatious smile.

Haven't Had Enough Empty Re: Haven't Had Enough

Before coming tonight Sawyer had thought his new friend Caleb had invited him to the dance so they could hang out more. However upon coming he learned he had been mistaken and the blonde had other feelings that fueled him to ask Sawyer to come to the dance. He wasn't sure how to react to this news or what to do so for the time being he was acting like he was still obvious, which actually wasn't very hard for the teen. At the moment the two were getting punch and a snack until someone joined them.

Sawyer spotted the bright red before she caught up to them and smirk as she grew closer. "I knew you weren't going to be able to resist seeing me tonight." He told her with a flirtatious smirk adding a wink for good measure. Before he could say more she asked Caleb if he could leave. He felt a bit offended she asked him as if he needed permission to leave but didn't say anything. He followed Adela where she lead him and smiled at her attempt at flirting. "Has anyone told you how gorgeous you are tonight." He commented flirtatiously giving her an obvious once over with his eyes. " I mean really you make all the veelas jealous with that." Sawyer added.

Poor Caleb. Adela wondered if anyone had let him in yet on the fact that Sawyer didn't think of his invitation as a date invitation. And now Sawyer was being flirty with her. Caleb is so sweet and the girl didn't want to be the one to have to break his poor heart. Someone else would have to do it. Maybe Sawyer flirting with her would start to give him a hint. Then Sawyer would be the one responsible of letting the poor boy down.

"Yes I have been told, about a hundred times by your brother. And that's just tonight. He, however didn't compare me too one of the most dangerously beautiful creatures in existence. Both parts of which I take as a complement by the way. Thank you," Adela said with a smirk. "Anyways, there's something I would like to talk to you about. Shall we dance as we talk?"

Sawyer chuckled at Adela's response to his flirty comments. "Well my brother isn't as suave with his words as I." He told her with a smirk. He remembered from last year that she could be dangerous if you weren't careful so he wasn't surprised to hear she took it as a compliment. "I feel it's only right to warn you my lady that my dancing isn't nearly as smooth as my words." Sawyer warned already knowing his skills on the dance floor were pretty much nonexistent.

The Montagnard wondered what it could be that Adela wanted to talk to him about while they danced. It couldn't be too important if it could be talked about while he stepped all over her pretty toes. But it was obviously important enough to make her way across the room to see him. He decided it wasn't worth worrying about but was still curious.

Adela chuckled at Sawyer's dancing comment. She couldn't really imagine him being an amazing dancer. She always figured he'd be the type to do the most random and uncoordinated dance moves, not unlike herself. "That's the thing about dancing, you don't have to be good at it to get people to think you're good at it. You just have to have fun and look confident, even if you're not. That's how you trick people into thinking you know what you're doing," Adela smiled at her friend. "Besides, that's what the low lighting and crowded dance floor is for, to keep people from seeing how bad you really are. Besides, I can't dance well either. So if we look like idiots, at least we'll look like idiots together." The red head smiled her cheekiest smile, hoping to encourage Sawyer. "So let's dance!"

With a smile Sawyer nodded at Adela's words, "Having fun and looking confident are some of my best qualities." He told her. "Especially the having fun part, the confidence is just necessary to keep me out of a trouble in my line of 'fun'." He said with a chuckle. That was probably the most honest thing the teen had said in quite awhile, his idea of fun was usually at everyone else's experience and if you didn't look confident in the fact that what you're doing isn't suspicious at all you look like you're causing trouble and people tend to pay more attention then and that's never good. "Oh," He said dramatically drawing out his oh, "That's what the low lighting was for? I thought it was to set the mood for us." He said raising his eyebrows and Adela with a smirk.

"I would be most honored to look like an idiot with you my lady." Sawyer said in a proper tone bowing before holding out his arm to escort her to the dance floor as if he was about to dance properly as well. He lead the red head out into the dance floor close to a group of people so hopefully they wouldn't attract much attention with poor dancing. The Montagnard moved her hand from his arm to his hand and spun her with a grin before spinning himself with a chuckle. "I have no idea what I'm doing." He whispered to her as he laughed.

"Yeah, I bet," Adela laughed. "I'm sure there are a lot of things that fake confidence has gotten you out of over the years, especially considering the things you think of as fun. After torturing the ickles all of the time you have to act confident so as to not look suspicious. Even so, I can't believe none of the professors have caught you being deviant in the past several years. You have certainly mastered the art of fake confidence." Sure Sawyer has gotten older since they first met, but there was no way he had matured from his pranking days yet. "Just how ever do you do it? You must tell me, you simply must!" she teased.

The red head curtsied, for once having an actual dress to pull at in doing so. "And I you." Adela linked her arm in Sawyer's as they walked out to the middle of the dance floor, laughing as he twirled her and then himself. "Want to know a secret?" she leaned in close to his ear. "Nobody does." Caleb would probably get upset if Adela kept Sawyer from him for too long. Now sounded like as good of a time as ever to tell him, so she decided to spit it out. "You do realize Caleb thinks you are on a date with him right?"

"Hey!" Sawyer retorted quickly, "Whoever said it was fake confidence? I'm very confident in my ability to prank just about anyone and not look suspicious doing so." He said proudly with a smirk. "I used to be a frequent flyer of the detention rooms the first few years but now I'm a master, I couldn't possibly tell you the secrets you might go and publish them in the SOP or heaven forbid actually use them and get yourself in detention." He told her with a chuckle, "You'd never last in detention, I can't tell you those secrets just yet." He teased her before leading her to the dance floor.

The teen was sure he looked like an idiot spinning around the dance floor with Adela but he didn't mind, for one he wasn't going to see most of these people after a few months anyways, and two it was just fun. He laughed when she told him that the secret was that no one knew what they were doing, "Well at least they look like they might know what they are doing." He told her with a smile before placing one of his hands on her waist and taking her hand in his other, as if he might be dancing properly for a few moments. The Montagnard's smiled wavered a bit at her next words but not too much, "Yeah I'm starting to get that thanks, seems I was the last to know. Honestly I have no idea what to do though so I kind of wish I was still blissfully unaware." He said with a tight smile.

"Reveal your secrets, please." Her please was long and drawn out. "If I were to use any of your tricks I definitely wouldn't get caught. I can be very sneaky when I want to. I have secrets of my own you know." Adela stuck her nose up and looked off into no where. "But I can't go around telling them to just anyone now can I?" The teen thought about herself sitting in detention. Sawyer was right, she probably wouldn't last long there. She had never been in detention nor did she have any plans of going. Never being in there, it was hard for her to say what goes on. Sure people tell stories, but you can't believe everything you hear, especially from the people who hang out in detention. She honestly didn't really want to know what exactly goes on in there.

"Don't worry, you're not the last to know. Caleb still doesn't know that you just think of him as a friend." Adela paused for a second. "You do just think of him as a friend right? If so you should probably let him know before you get too far into your 'date'. Let him down before he gets his hopes up too much. The longer you wait, the harder it will be for you to tell him and for the harder he'll take it."

Sawyer simply rolled his eyes dramatically at all of Adela's pleading and insisting that she had her own secrets which she could tell him. "Here I was thinking I was more than 'just anyone' nice to know where I stand around here." He said in a fake tone of her hurt but still letting a small smile turn up the corners of his lips. He would never tell her his pranks and stuff if he thought it would land her in detention, she was a prefect and unlike him she was very proud of that and he didn't want to be the one that ended up ruining that. He was sure if she found herself in detention they would start threatening to take away her badge and that was definitely not going to happen if he had any say.

He rolled his eyes once more at her words about him not being the last to know. "Well I'm close enough to laugh, and technically I am last to know about his motives and he's the last to know about my motives." He explained. "Of course I only think of him as a friend, a new friend at that." Sawyer said starting to sound a bit less cheerful. To combat that problem he tried spinning Adela outwards and spinning her back into his chest like he had seen in movies, for the most part it worked though it looked ungraceful. "Yeah I'm well aware of that, but thanks for making me feel like a horrible guy." He said with a smirk though honestly worried about what the was going to do.

"So you won't tell me your secrets but yet you get upset when I don't tell you mine. How does that make sense? Fine, I'll be the better person. But you have to promise not to tell anyone. No one at all. Got it?" Adela leaned in and spoke with a hushed voice. "It's top secret and no one's allowed to know. If you tell anyone I'll have to kill you." She held her pinky finger out. "Promise?" It may seem like a childish thing to do, but no one can break a pinky promise.

"I'm sorry Sawyer. I'm usually good at giving advice. This one is hard though because Caleb is kind of sensitive." She thought for a moment. There had to be better advice to give her friend than just to talk to him. "The best thing I would think to do would be to take him to the side and talk to him privately, where there's not a lot of people around. Tell him that you didn't realize his intentions when he asked you to the dance. Tell him how you feel about him. Say that you aren't looking for a relationship, but you like having him as a friend. Apologize for accidentally leading him on like a hundred times. Be sincere and speak using your sweetest voice. Give him a hug if you feel necessary. Sure he'll be a little disappointed, but he'll understand. The only reason he would be mad at you is if you waited longer and led him on longer. It's best to just tell him kindly now." Adela tried to think of any other advice she might be able to give. "I think that's all I've got. You should go tell him now, while the night's still young." The girl hugged her friend for support and gently pushed him in Caleb's direction. "Good luck."
