Ready to Go Empty Ready to Go

August was super excited to join the wizarding world. It would be a strange new experience to him and he was ready. He was told about some magic by his cousin, but that wasn't enough for him. He wanted to know more. He had begged his parents not to come to save him from embarrassment. Things seemed to be going in his favor, he hadn't embarrassed himself. Yet.

As if on cue, he ran into someone cause he hadn't paid attention. "I'm so sorry. There's really too much to look at." So much for not embarrassing himself. He hoped the person was nice and didn't kill him for accidentally running into whoever the stranger was. "I'm August."

It took longer than what Fane was hoping, but he had finally found the door, the one that didn't lead the way he had come in, which he had accidentally exited through at least three times in the search, but leaded to Amethyst Alley. At least he was sure.

The boy took one more look around before going to exit, in case Osmund had shown up late and was looking for him, but Fane spotted no sign of the tall dark haired boy in the room. He sighed and then huffed as the air was pushed out of his body by another body colliding into his. "Oi! What's your problem!?" Fane exclaimed. The boy apologized and Fane rolled his eyes. "Fane," He replied to the boy named August's introduction, sorta nonchalantly.

The person he had ran into was a boy that looked like he was his age. The boy seemed sort of unpleasant, or maybe he was just busy. "Are you a first year too?" This was the first person he met and August wanted to be as friendly as he could be. He was always friendly, but this could be a great chance to make a new friend.

"You busy." The boy looked like he was searching for something or someone. Whichever it was, maybe August could help. "Need any help?" August was a great helper, or so he hoped. He mostly just followed and copied off of his cousin.

Fane raised an eyebrow, thinking that since the kid had ran full speed into him, he was probably some sort of sod of a character, but he was actually acting friendly and quite conversational. "Mmmmh, yeah, I'm about to be one, anyway," Fane replied, learning that August was also a first year, like him. Maybe they could be friends? Fane wasn't sure. He could use someone to get into mischief with him, but had to make sure it was the perfect person.

"Ummmm, no I just need to get out of here, but I think I've found the door," Fane replied, smiling slightly. If only he had run into this kid before, since the girl he had asked earlier was hardly useful at all and his cousin was no where in sight. "You?" He asked, figuring he'd return the favor.

August was right about the first year thing, which meant they'd see a lot of each other. Which could be a good or bad thing. The boy seemed nice enough, he supposed. "That's cool. We'd see a lot of each other then." He was excited to start this school year and was ready to learn some magic. This was going to be a great adventure.

"Just looking around. Looking for my cousin a bit." He wasn't meeting her anywhere but it would be nice to run into her somewhere while he was shopping. He would be doing his shopping alone unless he found someone along the way. Which was fine with him either way.

Fane raised an eyebrow. August's statement was true. Since they were both first years, they would probably have a lot of classes together and basically see each other nearly all the time whether they liked it or not. He just wasn't sure if that was something to be excited about. "Is that a good thing?" He questioned, slightly wondering what the other boy's impression of him was.

"Wow, I haven't heard that one yet today," Fane replied, highly sarcastically. He, by far, was not the only one looking for their cousin. "I've been looking for my cousin all bloody day and I met someone before who was looking for her cousin as well!" He explained. "I'm starting to believe that cousins are just a useless lot"

August was debating on whether or not that was a good thing. He didn't see anything wrong with the boy. "Good, I guess. There seems to be nothing bad about you as far as I can tell. You seem friendly enough." August shrugged his shoulders, he had no reason to believe that it wasn't a good thing.

He wouldn't say his cousin was useless, he didn't think that at all. "My cousin isn't useless, she is the opposite of that. She told me all about magic and she's really fun and cool." Even if he didn't see her on his shopping trip, he'd make sure to see her at school.

Fane nodded, accepting the boy's answer. The same was true with him. August seemed like a good enough character, nice enough to talk and not be rude. He could stand being around August, if it came to it, and could possibly be his friend.

"Well maybe you're cousin isn't useless, but mine is nowhere to be seen," Fane replied, though still not convinced that the boy's cousin was as cool as he was making her seem. She was probably just as bad as Osmund. "Anyway, if you see some tall dark brooding boy, that would be him. Let me know, alright?"

August nodded, he would make sure to tell the boy if he had seen his cousin. Hopefully he didn't confuse him for someone else on accident. It seemed like something like that would happen to August. Confusing things. He would try his best though. "If I see him, I will let you know." August nodded once more, agreeing for a second time. "I didn't expect my cousin to be here but it would be nice to see her." Their situations were different but also similar. His cousin must have promised to meet him and August was just hoping to see his.
