New Meetings and Babysitting Empty New Meetings and Babysitting

Upon moving in with his father four summers ago Christian learned that he had cousins, one of them was now old enough to join him at Beauxbatons. While he was looking forward to having someone he knew and actually liked from his family with him at school, he wasn't so thrilled about the idea of having to take him shopping with him. Father's in the D'Angelo family were not the best of people, Christian had had to go shopping on his own when he was Quinn's age and he was completely new to the area so he was sure that for the most part he would be able to handle himself, he did stick around long enough to go to a store or two with him. One of those stores was the Mystic Spirits shop that had always been the boys least favorite place with all the creepy, gooy potion ingredients laying around the place.

"Alright Quinn let's try to make this stop really short." He said with a look around the glass jars. He went around and picked up the few jars of ingredients he needed for this year, it wasn't much since he still had a lot of the previous years. After purchasing his items Christian went back to find Quinn and wait until he was done. He found that his cousin wasn't almost done, like he had hoped, but instead socializing. Leave it to the little kids to always find people to socialize with.

It wasn't that Quinn was ungrateful or anything, for he was always happy to spend some time with his cousin, he was just a little upset that his father had bailed out on him like that. Nonetheless, the boy did his best to keep his head held high and had made it through most of his day's shopping on his own. When he finally did meet up with Christian, though, he practically clung to the boy and dragged him onto the next spot; Mystic Spirits, for buying his potions ingredients.

The two D'Angelo's entered the shop together, but soon they parted their ways to buy what they each needed. Quentin required a cauldron of his own, so he started there, passing by all sorts of cool looking jars to get to the back where a plethora of cauldrons rested. He entertained himself with the collapsable cauldron for a little bit before moving on to find a suitable pewter one. He spotted one at the bottom of the pile and went to reach for it, causing the whole pile to collapse in a ruckus. "Oops." he said, holding the one he wanted. He shrugged cause at least he had achieved what he had wanted to and then went to start cleaning up the mess.

Adela walked down the alley reading off her list of supplies that she would need for the year. "Wand...," she reached down into her pocket and pulled out her new wand, admiring it. "Check. Pet...," Adela turned her head to see her new pygmy puff, Sammy, sleeping on her shoulder. Smiling, she turned back to her list. "Check. Now I just need my textbooks, school robes, and some potion ingredients, including a cauldron." She decided to give her parents the privilege of carrying the textbooks and cauldron the rest of the day. The potions shop was the closest, so she decided to go there first.

Adela walked in Mystic Spirits, followed by her parents. They looked around the shop at all of the different things scattered everywhere. There were bottles of all shapes and sizes, filled with different colored liquids. Others were filled with different herbs and powders, and things that Adela didn't even know what they were. Hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to find the ones she needed. She looked back down at her list and began to make her way through the shop. The first thing she would get would be her cauldron, that way she could put everything else in it instead of carrying them all individually. Adela started heading back to where she had seen some cauldrons, and looked back down at her list. Out of no where she found herself tripping over something. "Woe!" she exclaimed, barely able to catch herself from falling. Adela looked down to see a pile of cauldrons on the floor. She almost didn't notice there was a kid picking them up in her confusion. "Oh," she said. "Hello, I almost didn't see you there. Do you need any help picking these up?" Before the boy could answer she was already helping to put the cauldrons back where they belonged.

Quentin didn't think of the mess to be hazardous until he watched someone trip and almost meet with the floor over one of the straying cauldrons. "Oops! Watch out!" He warned, uselessly after she had already tripped. He picked up the cauldron she had tripped over and placed it hastily back on the self. He smiled as she offered a helping hand.

"Thanks! some idiot knocked them all down. I'm just being nice," he lied, knowing well that it was he who had done the deed and therefore was paying the price. After all, she would be none the wiser.

He grinned as he noticed the pygmy puff on her shoulder and was reminded of his own. He paused and stroked it on it's puffy head. "He's lovely," Quentin noted. "I've got one too! His name is Absolem! They should meet! Uhmmmm." He suddenly forgot where his own purple pygmy puff had gone off to. "Ummmmm...." was it possible for Pygmy puffs to just up and run off? Their legs were awfully small for them to get anywhere fast.

"No problem," Adela said as she stacked the last of the cauldrons on top of the others. "Hmmm... That may not have been the best idea." She looked back down at her list, "I have to get a cauldron for school, and I'm not sure which is which. I probably should have figured it out before we stacked them all. Knowing my luck, the one I need is most likely at the bottom of the pile and I'll have to unstack them all again. Or I could just try to pull it out from the bottom like the last idiot probably did. How could someone possibly see that ending well?" Adela looked at the heap of cauldrons trying to figure which one was the pewter one that she needed. "Hmm..."

Sammy seemed to like the attention that this boy was giving her. What was his name? Adela never caught it. "My name is Adela by the way. And this is Sammy." She said giving her crimson red pygmy puff a little scratch on her head. "She really likes when people give her attention, if you couldn't tell." Sammy was jumping up and down on Adela's shoulder at this point.
