Sweetest of Mice Empty Sweetest of Mice

Marie-Laure didn't often eat sweets. She liked them but didn't have an addiction to them like her boyfriend. However now as a fully fledge Auror she'd found a need for certain types of sweets. Sucking on some one form of hard candy or another helped her to keep awake during times of a dull surveillance. It didn't do much for her teeth but that was what flossing mints were for.

She opened the door of the shop and stepped inside. The scents of various sugary treats hit her hard and Marie-Laure wondered if that was new or if she'd never paid attention to it before. She shook her head and stepped in further. She needed to get her sweets and get out.

There they were in the middle of the shelf in the second aisle as always. Never moving. Marie-Laure reached out for the boiled sweets and then quickly snatched it back again when she heard a squeak from somewhere within the shelf. "Mouse?" she asked and leaned closer to inspect. She jumped back again when a mouse like face popped up.

In the spirit of exams being over, Harley had decided to bake a celebration cake for her and her friends. She knew Charlie liked sweet things and last she had heard, Philip did too, but Ryan (and supposedly Malachi) were into more bitter tasting things. That meant she needed this one dark chocolate from the Sugar Shack since she had run out two months ago making a Christmas cake.

Just as she walked into the store, the familiar scent of chocolates and candied goods made her smile before she made her way to the chocolates. The dark chocolates were easy to find (they never moved from the back corner), and once she picked them up, she decided that while she was there she might as well get the raspberry food flavouring. She found it in the second aisle and was about to grab it when she heard someone scream about a rodent in the store and jump back. "You, okay?" she said, trying not to laugh at her alarmed expression.
