Peaceful Surroundings

Cassandra sat beside the lake underneath a beautiful tree feeling content and peaceful. Which wasn't normal for her, being a worrier. She looked out onto the lake and smiled. She loved the cool breeze on her cheeks and that went through her hair. She leaned against the tree and shut her eyes, relaxing and letting the sounds around her consume her. It was such a beautiful day that she just needed to go to the lake and just sit. She drew in a breath and let it out slowly. It was so peaceful that she was almost asleep. She moved into a laying position, she put her hands under her head and got comfortable. She was tired from missing sleep studying for Potions and mixing that with this beautiful day made it hard to stay awake.

There was only one explanation for the lake and that was that it was a magical lake that was hiding some sort of secret that only the keen could pick up on. Persephone was convinced something rested beneath it's glassy surface and she was going to discover what it was. That was, if she could focus long enough on the task to do so.

As soon as the shore came into sight, Percy found herself distracted with a familiar face. She nearly called for her friend while she ran, but stopped short of where the girl was resting her head when it occurred to her that her friend might be taking a nap. She cringed at the thought of accidentally waking her up and then tip-toed the rest of the way, sitting down peacefully next to the Cerisier.

When she saw Cas move in a way that suggested she was awake, Persephone gently poked the girl with her finger to make her aware of her presence. "I didn't want to scare you! I was worried that you had fallen asleep and that I had accidentally woken you up! Lovely sight, isn't it?"

Cassandra opened her eyes then smiled at her friend. "Hey, Perc." She yawned softly into her hand then sat up. "Its very pretty." She looked out onto the water. "Relaxing, actually." She stretched, her back aching slightly from the uncomfortable ground. "It keeps me distracted from potions." She leaned against the tree once more and then looked back up at her friend. "What brings you here?" Knowing Percy, it had to be something wild and adventurous. "Try not to do anything dangerous." She gave her a smile to say she was only joking. She yawned once more and rubbed her eyes.

Her fingers played with blades of grass as she listened to her friend. It was an awfully lovely place for a nap, for those who enjoyed naps. Persephone liked sleeping to replenish energy, but she wasnt much of a napper. Dating back to the days when she could be considered an infant, poor Walter Grimm had to struggle, trying everything method in the book from warm milk to lullabies to get the energetic girl to lie down to nap. Even now she still had troubles calmning down while the sun was still up. It took a day of adventure and boring homework assignments to take down her spirit.

"Well what kind of fun can you have without a little danger?" Persephone asked in return, laughing slightly. She never considered her work to be dangerous before, but she supposed there was always a risk of getting hurt in everything she did and often times, she did come out with a few bangs and scratches. Just take a look at her knees and one would find souvenirs from adventurers gone wrong. However, today's adventure was far from dangerous. "I want to find out if there is a beast in the lake!" Persephone explained, cheerfully. The only problem she could see would be falling in the lake, but she was a pretty good swimmer. "If there is, I want to befriend it cause why not?"

Cassandra gave her friend a look as if she was the craziest person she had ever met. Maybe she was actually since she had never met anyone ad adventurous as Percy. So, to Cassie, being adventurous was kinda like being crazy. She gave some thought into joining Percy with her search of the lake. But she wasn't sure she was confident enough to actually explore. Plus, she was tired and really wanted a map. Exploring the lake would wake her up and could be a fun pass time.

"Don't get hurt, okay?" She was worried about her friend getting hurt. But Percy was probably experienced with this sort of thing. But Cassie always worried about people getting hurt. She didn't like to see pain even if it was just a scrapped knee or elbow. "If you get hurt, just know that I will freak out and do a whole bunch of crazy things to make you feel better." She again thought about joining her. "Maybe I should join you just to make sure you're safe. Okay?"
