Wizarding World Empty Wizarding World

Post by Guest Wed Apr 10, 2013 2:40 pm

Cassandra sat alone, sipping on her butterbeer. She wanted the atmosphere round her. She wasn't one to just go up to someone, so she sat alone. She pulled her journal out of her bag and started to write down a few things to take note of in the wizarding world. She was busy writing in her little blue book to notice things going on around her anymore.

Somehow Sawyer had managed to lose both his twin and his older sister in the crazy and hectic little pub. He had tried to find them he gave it a good two minutes, or an impatient child's idea of two minutes. But then he got bored so he went back up to the bar for more drinks, so far he had gotten one butterbeer and one pumpkin juice, so this time he just got a 'muggle' soda pop. He had to assume that at one point he was considered a muggle for he was slowly learning that was the word for non-magic folk. He walked around the pub with his soda in hand until he found a table with a girl sitting at it all by herself, so of course Sawyer couldn't resist stopping to talk.

He sat down in the seat across from the lonely girl without asking which would probably have been the nicest thing to do. "Hey there whatcha' doing all by yourself over here. Oh and I'm Sawyer, Sawyer Johnson." He introduced himself with a cute, charming smile.

Cassandra looked up from her journal. "Oh, hi." She smiled, feeling awkward as she always does. "Cassandra Daniels. Nice to meet you." She looked him up and down, wondering why he sat down in front of her. She closed her book, folding the page she was on, then gave him all her attention.

Cassandra, that was a nice name, Daniels was a kind of plain last name of course Sawyer would know all about plan names since both his first and last name were kind of plain. Of course he had expected her to say, hello then introduce herself and say something along the lines of nice to meet you. She was quite predictable in fact he could probably have a conversation with himself that would accurately resemble the one with her. But she seemed nice enough and he was a nice person who liked to talk with people who seemed lonely, he knew he would like it if someone did that if he was ever sitting alone for some strange reason.

"Yes, its a pleasure to meet you too Cassandra. By the way that is a pretty name. So Cassandra are you new to the wizarding world or do you come from a family where this is all normal?" He asked waving his arms around the pub and the waiter cleaning up messes with a wand wave.

Cassandra looked around, taking in the scene around her once again
"I am new to this...I've heard the term muggle born?" Cassandra shrugged. "You can call me Cassie if you like. This seems to be normal for you." She took a sip of her butter beer and then turned her attention back to the boy.

So she was new to this while world as well, that sure was comforting he now didn't feel like his brother and him were the only ones going through this confusion. He couldn't help but laugh a bit when she said it seemed like he was used to all of this. "Well I guess I'm just a really good actor then cause I have never seen anything like this place before. I have six older siblings and one is a witch. So yeah I'm a muggle born thing too. I just put up a good front." He answered with a smile before taking a sip of his soda.

Cassandra blushed slightly, somewhat embarrassed. "Oh..." She was being awkward again, she was always awkward around good looking people. "So...everyone else I've met knows about this stuff....I assumed." She gave him a smile, glad she wasn't alone. "Well, at least I'm not the only muggle born then." She looked him up and down once again, he really was good looking. "So, you have many siblings?"

Once Sawyer lowered his glass he saw that Cassandra was blushing, or maybe that is just how she looked and he didn't notice that before. He was happy to hear though that he was not the only one having a hard time finding someone who understood his situation since they were all so used to the magic around them. The small boys laughed when she asked if he had many siblings. "I suppose you could say that, aside from my six older siblings, three girls and three boys. I have two younger brothers. So yeah, what about you, got any siblings?"

Cassandra shook her head, frowning slightly. "No, I have a small family." She shrugged, not really wanting to talk about her family. "So, what do you know about this place?" She played with her hands, chipping her nail polish. "Maybe we should stick together...being muggle borns and all."

Sawyer wondered what it must be like to have a small family. It was probably a lot quieter, you probably got to eat the food that you wanted and you probably didn't get yelled at for taking something or doing something nearly as much. Those things seemed like a dream inside of a dream it was such a foreign idea to him. When you grow up being one of the babies in a family with a ton of kids you just got used to the chaos. It seemed pretty obvious to the young boy that Cassandra was not interested in talking about her family with this odd stranger that just showed up at her table.

What did he know about this place? That was a funny question considering he just told her that this whole atmosphere was strange to him. "Well considering this is my first even knowing of this place and I've only been here for a few hours I know......... that their drinks are good but you can't by the alcoholic ones." He told her with a smirk. He thought it was kinda sweet that she wanted to stick together since they were both so new to magic. "Well I can't promise anything for I've been told that I change from day to day, though I don't believe that, but I like that idea. So if I still like it next time I see you then yeah that sounds great." He answered her before downing the last of his soda.

Cassandra studied her conversation partner, she thought it was weird that he change his personality from day to day. At least that's what she thought he meant, hoping that was what he did mean. She wondered about how his life was, having so many siblings. She was kind of envious, she had always wanted a large family. She was always so lonely at home.

Cassandra looked away from him for a moment, not wanting to stare. "Has your sister told you stories?" Surely she must have, it could prepare her brother for his first year. She thought about how no one was told her about this place and how no one was really there to help her through her life.

But, she couldn't complain. She had made a new friend, which she didn't have many of in the first place. She was happy that he considered her idea. "I hope the school year will be fun."

Cassandra's face suggested that she might have found Sawyer stating that his personality might be different the next time he saw her. That of course was the reason why normally he wouldn't tell people that so soon and instead would let them learn that for themselves. That was usually about the time that people decided whether or not they really wanted to be his friend. Hopefully Cassandra wasn't about to leave and never want to see him again for she was a pretty cool person that he wouldn't mind hanging out with.

With a smirk on his face Sawyer answered with, "Teddy has told me plenty of stories but they are top secret." He finished with a wink. In reality Teddy had told him stories he just couldn't remember very many of them which he was most definitely not going to admit to anyone not even Payton. "Well I'm gonna be there so of course its gonna be a fun year." The young blonde told her simply with a smile in a way to suggest that that was the obvious conclusion.

Cassandra smiled at her new friend. "You can't tell me about the stories? They must be really cool if they're top secret." She began to think of wild stories, without knowing much about what the wizarding world was even like. "That's so cool!"

Cassandra sipped her butterbeer, she began to think about the school year. "If you say so. You seem like a fun person, so you could make the year fun"
