Beauregard had absolutely no experience with potion making, nor did he want any. It was like cooking, he was sure, with the exception that there were gross ingredients involved. He wasn't sure how juices from frogs and eyes of a newt boiled in water into a nasty soup had magical properties towards it. Nor did he want to be drinking such things either. Nonetheless, there was no opting out of the class, he was informed, until sixth year and even then it depended on the score he got on his O.W.L.s.

Being a wizard was hard, he had concluded, after all the supply shopping he had done that day. His lanky arms weighed down with books and parchment scrolls and he had to put them down to examine his list. Why was it that wizards required so much before going to school? More so than just a wand. He bit his lip, remembering he still needed to get one of those. He concluded from the messily written list that all he needed was a cauldron and a level one potion making kit. The cauldron was easy enough to find, though the kit seemed no where to be found.

"Pardon me," Beauregard spoke up, placing his stuff gently on the ground to give his arms a break once more. "Have you seen a potion making kit? I fear they might all be sold out," Beauregard sought of the stranger.

Serah decided that year four should be dedicated to studies. She had passed her Advanced Charms class and her Transfiguration classes (remedial and third year). So next in line to work on was Potions.

Serah wasn't really bad at mixing potions, but 'okay' just wasn't cutting it anymore.

So she went shopping again.

Serah looked down at her school list again, before hearing a voice behind her.

A potion making kit was something she had not seen. "Sorry. I haven't," Serah responded, feeling a bit sorry for the kid. And she noticed her accent was off. Way too Russian sounding. She cleared her throat, "But I'm sure they still have them. School is about to start. Are you going to Beauxbatons this year?"

She looked around again. "Up there!" she pointed, spotting the kit on a shelf above her head. "But I can't reach, darn it!" she said after she jumped for it.

There weren't that many other people in the shop with him, but of the bunch, he figured someone closer to his age would be of the most help. Unfortunately, the closest he could get was still blatantly a student older than him, but he hoped that she might have a good idea of where to find the last item on his list for this shop.

His face fell slightly as the older girl remarked she hadn't seen any. Just as he suspected. They must've sold out with the crowd of incoming first years. He noticed her accent was different from the other French speakers he had encountered on that day, but assumed he wasn't the only foreigner and decided to say nothing about it.

"Yeah, I'll be starting Beauxbatons this year," He replied, assuming from the question that she was already a student there. "Maybe I could ask the shopkeeper about that kit," He muttered aloud to himself. However, it was unnecessary as the girl suddenly announced she found it.

He approached towards where the platinum blonde pointed, looking up and biting his lip. "Awfully high up for young people," Bo noted. He wasn't exceptionally small, but still had not yet reached puberty and knew his growth spurt was only a year or two away. However, that didn't help him then as he couldn't reach it either. "A step ladder, perhaps? Surely they've got one of those if they are stocking things so high." He suggested.

Serah looked at the kit. She sighed. "There's probably something we can climb on. Probably nothing as convenient as a step ladder. Normal witches and wizards could just use the summoning charm, but students can't."

Serah sighed again. She missed Charms over the summer.

"But there has to be a chair somewhere. We could look around."

Serah scanned the aisle, but didn't spot one. "I suppose we could get the individual pieces. You'll need some scales to weigh stuff. Some phials. You have your cauldron, I see," Serah said, glancing down at the pot. "Belladonna, mistletoe..." Her sentenced trailed off as she was trying to remember what was in her first year kit. The new fourth year laughed. "I'll help you find a shopkeeper. I'm Serah, by the way," she said with a smile. "I go to Beauxbatons, too."
