Missing our Cats

Serah was starting to miss home. She hated to think that her bedroom was vacant. She hated to think that the forest behind her house was being unexplored. But most of all she missed her favorite 'person' and best friend. And that 'person' was her cat, Fawn.

When Serah passed De Beaux Animaux, she saw a gray kitten in the window and immediately thought of Fawn.

She walked into the store without a second thought and went straight to the kitten's display. "Hi, there," she greeted.

The kitten looked up at Serah and yawned.

Serah got the sense that someone was behind her. So she inched to the right to make room for them to stand next to her. "It's ad-d-dorable," Serah said. "What-t-t do you think-k?"
