History had never been a strong point for Marceline at her old school. She was never rather good at remembering dates and names and it just so happened that the subject of history dealt with both of those skills. However, she was going to give History of Magic a try, not that she really had any choice otherwise. She would still have to take the class anyways, so she'd might as well try her best and pay attention. She had that positive attitude until the teacher started talking.

He was just giving the basics, but already Marceline found her eyes wandering off of the wrinkles on the Professor's face and onto counting the cracks on the dungeon room walls. She noticed a leak, where water trickled down from the ceiling and making a mark on the wall. She noticed a patch of unfriendly looking mold growing in the corner of the room.

So indulged in her own petty explorations of the room, she didn't notice the professor had asked a question until he had repeated her name for the third time. "Huh?" She said, returning from her daze. All attention was on her and she just wanted to disappear.

"Who was minister of Magic during the time of Hogwart's siege?" The professor asked. A few students giggled like it was an easy question everyone knew. Marcy turned red and sunk into her chair a bit more. She didn't want to confess she didn't know, but she hadn't a guess to say. Her eyes landed on the girl next to her and pleaded in her mind that she'd might whisper her the answer.

Since Charlotte was little she had always loved the past; by proving her love for the past she took History Of Magic. On the day of the first History class Charlotte had to contain her excitement by playing with her hair, whilst standing outside waiting for the professor to open the door.

Once the door had opened she automatically got the closet desk to the front she could find, she got out her things ready for the interesting lesson that would begin.

As the lesson  started Charlotte couldn't help but look around the room in awe; everywhere you looked there was historic pictures on the wall along with old parchment that was signed by some very famous witches and wizards, even muggles.
The professor had asked the girl sitting next to Charlotte 'Who was the minister of magic during the time of the Hogwart's siege?', when the girl didn't answer Charlotte had to try her best to keep her hand from shooting up into the air, but her
efforts were become futile.

With a glance to the girl next to her she saw the pleading look and she sighed and quickly scribbling down the answer on a piece of spare parchment  which read 'The Minister for magic during the Hogwart's siege was Rufus Scrimgeour but he was killed by Lord Voldemort since he didn't tell him the were about's of Harry Potter, The Minister of Magic was then appointed to one of Lord Voldemorts Death Eaters'. Charlotte quickly passed the piece of parchment to the girl sitting next to her, then Charlotte looked back to the front still writing down the notes from the chalk board.

Boy did Marceline luck out or what? The girl next to her seemed positively about to explode with the answer. Enthusiastic student was a slight understatement when it came to the blonde, which was all just as well to Marcy. Things would've gone quite differently if the knowledgeful blonde decided to keep it to herself, but instead she gave Marcy exactly what she wanted in the form of a small note on a piece of paper.

Taking the paper in hand, yet trying to keep it concealed, she read the words from the paper. "Ummm, could it be...Rufus Scream-jower?" She answered, pronouncing the name clearly wrong. To her, his name couldn't have been any harder to pronounce, but she pretended she knew what she was doing and said the rest on the sheet.

"So I guess he was killed or something by Lord Voldent and replaced by a death eater." She wondered if that literally meant one who consumed death, which would be an awesome skill in her mind. She smiled at the Professor now that she was done, but his wrinkled face didn't return the kindness.

"Thank you, Miss Marie, for the answer, but next time you will be wise to let Miss Bones learn a lesson for herself," He warned. Marcy sighed. Guess she hadn't done too good of a job covering up.

When the girl next to her pronounced Rufus Scrimgeour wring Charlotte had a hard time to conceal a laugh, to hide it she coughed a couple of times; 'Lord Voldent?' she thought with amusement, she then wondered if people here knew what Death eaters were?

Whilst she was thinking to herself she hadn't realised that the professor had known it was Charlotte that had written the answer for her. Charlotte was jerked out of her thoughts when the professor slammed a book on her desk "S-sorry..." she said her welsh accent strongly in her voice.

The Professor Looked at Charlotte with a stern look, his wrinkles making him look evil, she looked down disappointed with herself "I'm sorry sir it won't happen again..." she said quietly, he gave a stern nod "Good, Now next time let Miss Bones work things out by herself" Charlotte nodded going back to writing her notes, The professor then walked back to the front of the class to resume his lesson.

'Really? my first lesson in my favourite class and I get told off?!" she thought annoyed, without knowing she started writing in Welsh not realising since she was annoyed with herself.

Marcy didn't care that she got into trouble. She was always in some sort of trouble at her muggle school. It was more or less the public humiliation part of it that made her feel embarrassed. Also, she had gotten the other girl into trouble as well. She waited a moment for the Professor to get back to the lesson before turning to the curly haired girl again and sheepishly poked her with the tip of her quill for her attention.

"Thanks for trying to help," She whispered, facing the chalkboard but looking at the girl through the corner of her eye. "No hard feeling about getting you in trouble, right?" She questioned. She'd rather have the smart girl as a friend than an enemy. Maybe she'd be able to help her with homework when she was dumb enough to put it off till the last moment.

Charlotte was quietly muttering to herself 'Honestly if mother and father were to find out then I would be as good as dead...' she thought. As the Professor went back to teaching the class Charlotte could feel a pair of eyes on her, Charlotte glanced from the corner of her eye and realised it was the girl who had gotten her in trouble.

"It's alright..." she said in an irritated sort of whisper, Charlotte kept her focus on her piece of Parchment still writing down the notes the Professor was writing on the bored; when the girl asked if there was no hard feelings Charlotte contemplated with herself weather to forgive the girl or not. Although soon enough after thinking it over she gave out a sigh and turned to look at the girl "I'll forgive you but only this once.." she whispered her welsh accent still in her voice, she then turned to look at the chalk-bored. Charlotte then mentally rolled her eyes 'I can see me doing a lot of her homework's in the future...' she thought to herself.

"Excellent!" Marceline replied, as the girl begrudgingly agreed to grant her forgiveness. People like that girl would make a horrible enemy, and Marceline wasn't sure just how bold the girl was when it came to sticking up for herself. She supposed she would find out in time.

The teacher rambled on and on, discussing the siege of Hogwarts, which Marceline found pointless. Why talk about the history of a school that wasn't even their own? Apparently this Harry Potter kid was a big deal. He was barely an adult in the eyes of the wizarding world when he took down some powerful lord, who, looking upon a picture in her textbook, lacked a nose.

Marceline snorted a laugh seeing the picture. She hadn't a clue about the finner details of the lesson and her page was empty, save a cartoon-ish recreation of Lord Voldemort's face. It was turning into something of a political cartoon when she heard the Professor announce that he would be collecting their notes at the end of class. "Oh bother," Marceline sighed, looking at her poor excuse for notes. Meanwhile, next to her, she supposed her curly haired partner was revamping a version of Hogwarts, a History.

Marceline slide over a bit closer to the girl. "Hello, friend," She started, and offered a slightly unpleasant grin. "Want to compare notes?"

After the little agreement with the girl next to her she thought she would finally be able to get work done without being intrupted; and luckily she did. 'I wonder if that girl even knows what the professor is tailing about....' She thought.

When Charlotte heard about the great stories of Harry potter the boy who lived she was fascinated by it. Her parents had always told her stories about the second wizarding war at hogwarts and it always amazed her each time she heard it.

However the gi next to her seemed to find the image of voldemort funny. Charlotte was no amused. She had always been told stories about him and how he caused fear and terror among many witches and wizards. 'How could she laugh at that vile eveil man!' She thought outraged.

After the lesson had finished Charlotte collected her things as quickly as she could but it was pointless. She turned to look at the girl and glanced down at the girls notes and then at her own "hello, if you want help with the notes you just have to ask" she said her welsh accent was strong gas she spoke, as she passed the sheet over to the girl 'might as well make one friend' she thought

Her 'friend' failed to fall for her trap, but rather saw right through it. However, she didn't say no to her request and soon Marceline was feverishly copying some of the curly-haired girl's notes. "That's practically what I just did," Marcy replied, her eyes not leaving the pages she was staring at. The professor was pacing the classroom as he was finishing his spiel and she needed as much as possible to impress him, after she had botched in class and drew pictures on her notes.

"History isn't really my thing, yknow?" She added, her words rushed in the adrenaline of the deadline. "Wasn't ever in boarding school and certainly not here where everyone seems to have such cooky names. Albus Dumbledore? Puh-lease," She snorted a laugh and then finished out her last scribbled sentence and righted herself in the chair. "Guess wizards have a thing for odd names."

Charlotte glanced at the girls notes and picked them up "this is what you did?" She asked in disbelief, she shook her head and put the notes back down. Although she may seem calm on the outside; on the inside however she was furious. ' how could she laugh at that?!' She thought back to the lesson 'albums dumbldore is not a name someone should laugh at?! Or lord voldemort for that matter!'.

"I'm sure your fine at history" she said with a reassuring smile "you just need help so you can understand it better; like a tutor sort to speak" she said rum merging through her bag to find the book she needed " and I have a book that should help..." . After a while she had found the book " here it is.." She put the book in-front of the girl " this is hogwarts a history it should help with understanding the names you laughed at" she said rather sternly, she took her noted back and placed or inside her history office text book.
