After Caleb got done dancing with his friend Paige, he said that he would be back later to hang out some more. He didn't tell her why he was leaving her, but he hoped she wouldn't be too upset with him. He was on a mission. A very important mission and he couldn't tell her because it involved her. It had to be a secret until the time was right, it wasn't quite right yet. He looked around the crowds of students until he found exactly who he was looking for. Quinn. He hurried toward him, saying 'excuse me'' and 'I'm sorry' when he needed to get by someone and accidentally bumped them.

"Quinn!" Caleb said excitedly once he finally caught up to him. "Come with me!" He grabbed his arm and pulled him towards a more quiet area that was away from listening ears. "You have to ask Paige to dance with you! And then while you're dancing, tell her you like her." It was the perfect time to announce to someone that you liked them, it was the Valentine's Dance after all. "I say it's now or never." That wasn't exactly true, but he wanted his friend to give it a shot and not be scared to try.

The blue haired boy was two left feet when it came to dancing. Despite lessons he and Odie took when they were little, he still was unable to ballroom dance without his eyes pinned onto his feet and even then he occasionally trod on his partner's foot. Because of this, he was hesitant to attend the school's dance, but he decided to go because his friends were, and, Paige was too.

He felt like maybe he looked dumb with his blue hair slicked back and couldn't help but toy with it in the reflection of the silverware. He didn't even notice Caleb had arrived until the boy approached him first. Hardly having the time to greet his friend, he was being pulled by the arm out into the dancing area and immediately assumed Caleb wanted a dance, which he was more than happy to give him. However, Caleb wanted to talk about Paige instead.

"What? Don't you want to dance?" He replied, quickly and in attempt to change the subject. He awkwardly started dancing then, holding Caleb's hands in his as he moved. "I think that's a bad idea, Caleb. I'm a bad dancer and she makes me so nervous. And-and what about you? You like her too! It's okay, mate. You can ask her instead of me. I'll just stuff myself with some chocolate and then call it a night."

Caleb had been so excited for this dance because of two reasons; he could dance and have fun with his friends and he would be going with Sawyer. He was nervous about the whole thing, he didn't want to do something embarrassing in front of the older boy. He wasn't sure where they stood because of the whole dance thing, did Sawyer catch onto his crush? Caleb tried not to make it so obvious, but he failed at that.

"Oh, we can dance," he blinked, he hadn't thought about it actually. He wanted his friend to have a good time at the dance and not miss out on a dance with the blonde girl in their year. He swayed with Quinn, he wasn't the best dancer and it looked like Quinn wasn't either. "Who cares if you're a bad dancer? Just say sorry if you step on her toes, I don't think she'd get mad. I already danced with her," she said with a nod. "And actually," he started, a blush formed on his face and he was getting nervous. "I came here with Sawyer. I think he's with his brother at the moment though., I told him that I had to help you out and he understood." He grinned, butterflies were in his stomach. Even talking about the older boy made Caleb weak in the knees. "Isn't that great! I came here with Sawyer!" He giggled and squeaked in delight.

As if on cue, Quentin placed his foot wrong and smashed his friend's foot beneath his own. "Sorry!" He tried to keep a good distance between Caleb's feet and his own, but found it an awfully hard task to do while he was dancing. "See what I mean? And she's so tiny compared to me! I'd probably end up breaking all her toes and that's not romantic man," he confessed, a bit crestfallen. He was glad to have heard that Caleb already had his dance with Paige, but didn't need to feel anything of the sort of jealously, for Caleb then added who his date was.

"Seriously?" Quinn replied, excited for his friend. "Holy smokes, Caleb! You're like the master of seduction now!" Quinn added, in awe for his friend. Caleb really did it. He asked the boy he liked to the dance and succeeded and was so brave about it too and yet here Quinn was, nervous to the point of sickness about asking Paige for one single dance. "I don't know how you can help me. I feel so nervous, I might be sick!" Maybe he should've ditched out on the festive dance and hung out with Absolem instead.
