It was that time again, another game of the wonderful sport of quidditch. Professor Bowen breathed in the fresh air and exhaled with a smile. She truly loved being outside and seeing the sport in action. She was glad to see the pitch looking normal. Since the quidditch season began, at least once a year the pitch had been altered in some sort of way. That was before the wind began to blow harshly. The professor hadn't heard a thing about the weather changing so drastically. The wind blow with a great force and she knew this was going to be a tough game for both teams. Why had the weather changed so fast like that? The wind was defiantly going to affect the game, for good or for worse.

Once both teams were on the pitch, Professor Bowen said her usual saying, but you could hardly hear her over the wind. She yelled over the wind for the captains to shake hands. Once they did, she blew her whistle and released the balls. The game was beginning and the wind seemed to be getting worse by the minute. This would be an interesting game.

Game closes on Nov. 14
Announcers are Caleb Miler and Rene Pendlebrook

The last match had been especially humiliating for Marie-Laure. Not one goal had been made. Not one single one by her or either of the other two chasers on the team. Couple that with the inability for the team keeper to block any goals (if she had blocked any Marie-Laure hadn't seen it) and it was obvious who was going to win. At least Johnson had saved the team some face by catching the snitch. It was a shame he had't caught it sooner.

She scowled at the wind which had blown up without warning. This was not going to make the game or her mood any less sour than it already was. This year had to be the most disastrous year of Marie-Laure's Beauxbatons career so far. Nothing had gone right and not even if she received a letter of explanation from her supposed dead mother would make it better.

Marie-Laure was up in the air the moment the whistle blew and she looked around for one of her opposing chasers. "You'd better keep your mouth shut this time d'Angelo," she shouted at her rival. How much he heard over the wind was not something she would consider. He had been warned and if he didn't listen she'd ram her broom into him.

It was time for final game and even though Montagnard had lost last game, Payton was still in a cheerful mood. He had been so cheerful since the summer time and nothing was going to ruin his mood, even if they lost again. There wasn't a time where he was more happy. Besides getting practice in over the summer, he had also asked his friend to be his girlfriend. After she said yes, Payton hadn't left the clouds.

Once the whistle was blown, Payton was in the zone. His smile had been plastered on his face for a long time. Ever since the last game, students had been saying that Payton should be captain instead of Osmund(which had started because of the youngest announcer). He wasn't sure how to react to the statement but he just wanted it to die down. Payton had learned from Oz and thought Oz was a great captain.

The wind was affecting the game and made things more difficult. He was going to have to step it up if he was going to catch the snitch this game. Payton let out a small cheer when Montagnard was the first to score. "Go team!"

Quinn was pumped for this last game, having had a huge confidence booster after the last match. He had redeemed himself from the game where he couldn't hold the quaffle for his life and had proven that he was a better chaser than his opponent, Marie-Laure. The only thing that wasn't so great about this next game was the wild wind that whipped his hair out of order and took his breath away.

He grinned upon seeing Marie-Laure in the sky but she didn't seem to be too happy to see him as well. She shouted something at him, that was muted by the wind, but Quinn couldn't make out a single word. "What!?" Quentin shouted in return. "I can't hear you over the sound of-" He cut off. He was going to say 'over the sound of how awesome I am' but then the wind changed and suddenly he couldn't exactly breath and figured he'd stop being cocky and answer honestly. "the wind!" He shouted in return to his opponent. Looks like there wouldn't be much bickering this game with the wind.

He flew around, occasionally being blown off course by the wind, and managed to score a goal to match the score with Montagnard. This was the last game of the season and he couldn't let Cerisier win. Not after he and the other chasers scored so many goals last game.

Rene smiled and took his seat in front of the mic. "Welcome fans to another beautiful day for quidditch." He started before the wind started to kick up. "Or not such a beautiful day. Regardless,  Montagnard needs a bounce back game after the last atrocity they put up. Losing a game without scoring a goal is pathetic. It'd be terrible for them to fall to Cerisier's offensive might again, but maybe the wind will help them tonight. Montagnard opened up with a score only to have it tied up by Cerisier a score of ten to ten. The wind has even hampered the back and forth between D'angelo and Sylvian."

Last game had been a complete embarrassment for Osmund and he wasted no time in kicking his team back into shape to make sure that it didn't happen again. If what the announcers had said weren't enough, people were talking as well. He hoped no one on the team actually thought that what the younger announcer said about their seeker being more apt at being a team captain than he was to be inspiring. Though he thought Payton did he job admirably, he wasn't about to let the overly cheering seeker take over his spot just yet.

He didn't even know what to say to his team before they headed out, having exhausted all of the insults through the many practices that led up to this game, and tiredly shook Christian's hand before taking his position. He could really use a miracle about now.

This game was sure to be interesting and Caleb knew it. Not only would this game determined who won the cup this year, it was also interesting because of the sudden wind that had just picked up. Caleb had not announced the last game but he did watch from the stands. It was a pitiful game on Montagnard's part but Caleb wasn't about to say a word about that, they had probably heard it enough already by everyone else. "Hello everyone! This is going to be an interesting game today and I hope both teams don't get hurt this game." He shot a glance towards one of his best friends, Paige. It seemed like she was always hurting someone.

"Anyways, this is anyone's game, whoever wins this game wins the cup. So I wish both teams luck. Also, I think both captains are excellent." He had to say something about it after Osmund was called a terrible captain last game. "Hollow wasn't to blame for the last game." He had just called the other announcer out without being mean about it. "Anyways, its now 10 to 10. Lets go teams!" He pulled some jelly beans from his pocket and started to munch on them.

Rene raised an eyebrow. After all the controversy over his comments about Osmund, now even a fellow announcer was making a fuss over it. He had no personal problems with Caleb, or Osmund for that matter. Osmund seemed scary, but not like that bad of a guy. He was about to clear up his comments, but when Caleb called him out, he felt like his blood was going to boil. It wasn't mean spirited, but it did its job. Rene smiled into the microphone. "Well, while I wish every single game could end in a tie with both teams working as hard as they could, that was not the case last week. Cerisier dominated the offensive and defensive game. The defence supposedly being Montagnard's strong suit was not playing well. I would like to also explain that I don't think Hollow is a bad captain. My comments about him were taken out of context. Hollow is a talented beater and leading his team to a cup in his first year as captain was no fluke. However, when you constantly berate your team openly on the pitch it can't help with confidence. The same goes for Cerisier's captain. Sometimes players need an optimist at the helm, not a pessimist. I also expect Hollow to have a bounce-back performance today, especially with the wind in play."

Ten points on the score board and those points belonged to Montagnard. Marie-Laure hoped that was the sign of good things to come from her team. She desperately wanted this win after the disastrous game of the last match. The most humiliating game of her short Quidditch career so far.

The wind made it hard to speak or hear. Well that should make it easier for her to not hear him make disparaging remarks every time he made a goal. On the down side he wouldn't be able to hear her remarks on making a goal either. It was unfortunate she could hear Caleb's comment about the way she and Quinn often snapped at each other. If he werent' careful he might be her next goal to fly into.

Scores were far too even for her liking and she needed to do something about that. Marie-Laure's opportunity came soon enough and even the wind co-operated for one split second as the Quaffle went through the goal hoop much faster than usual. "You're losing this time," she shouted at Quinn not caring that he probably didn't hear her.

There was no question about it Cerisier had dominated the last game, but that in no way meant that his team could slack off this game. He had explained this thoroughly to everyone in the locker room and anyone that let their arrogance get the best of them this game and made them lose was going to hear it for sure. Before the game starters the captains shook hands as usual but it seemed as if the other captain wasn't feeling as well as usual. "Good luck." He said in attempt to help his friend. He didn't want him to win but he didn't want him to play depressed.

Once in the air Christian noticed the wind seemed to suddenly pick up. His cousin was once again shouting at one of the chasers on of the other team and the announcers were once again talking about Osmund. The Cerisier flew up to his cousin close enough to be heard over the wind, "Hey leave the flirting for off pitch time." He said before flying off to get the quaffle. Christian brought the score back to being even.

The announcers had mentioned his name in a bad content this time and he eyed the box curiously. He hadn't done anything mean to his team in quite sometime why was he suddenly being talked about, in fact why was Oz for that matter. As he flew near the box on his way to finding the quaffle again he held his finger to his mouth to tell them to hush.

Annaliese this time was determined to keep all of the goals out from the opposing team. It was her job after all, but after the last game she on very low terms with the captain, not to mention the whole engagement thing as well. Sighing she rose into the sky and looked around to see where the action was. The game started off pretty well. The teams becoming even at a total of 20 points each. She smiled as she hit away another quaffle that was heading towards the main goal. She looked at Payton and smiled at him. "Catch that snitch!" She called to him.

Payton didn't like the bickering over the captains, he also didn't approve over Rene calling him out last game. This had to end now. It was causing a mess and he was tired of hearing about it. Too bad he couldn't block out their chatter. Even though the wind was loud, it seemed like the announcers were louder. The game was going well and it seemed like the wind was barely getting in the way.

The score was tied but not for long, Cerisier had scored once more and were now ahead of Payton's team. It only made him more determined to catch the snitch. The other seeker didn't have much experience and it defiantly showed. He hoped the other seeker hadn't learned any skills since the last game.

Marie-Laure could swear the wind was picking up and blowing even stronger than before. She was not going to let it beat her. She would score better than last game. She already had but only one goal, two if you counted the goal made by one of her fellow chasers, was not enough. They were behind Cerisier again and Marie-Laure did not like that one little bit.

She flattened herself against her broom as she flew off after the quaffle again and managed to catch it when her teammate threw it to her. It didn't take the third year long to get herself into position and she threw it through the middle goal hoop. She looked around for Quinn and threw him a look of triumph. With the wind blowing like this there was no point in wasting any more energy shouting at him. Later, when Montagnard won she could rub it in. Their seeker had already caught the snitch twice that year. He could do it again.

Osmund wasn't sure what was going on outside of his own mind, for the wind was so impossibly loud in his ears, he could catch on to anyone else's words. That was, anyone else but the people that he truly despised to hear at the moment; the announcers. He wasn't exactly sure why Quidditch needed a pair of announcers to ramble and talk about the game, usually saying annoying things, but what was surprising him was how much his name was coming up in the conversation.

"Stop talking about me," he growled, though was sure neither of the announcers could hear him. He didn't care whether the discussion put him in positive light or negative, he just wanted them to shut up. "I'm already taken," he mused to himself, and flung another bludger onward. The game was a close one, so far, but at least their seeker was doing well this season. Nonetheless, he was still going to do his best in keeping the quaffle out of the opponent's hands.

Caleb munched on his jelly beans, he had had enough of the captain talk. He should be able to say his opinion too, if Rene was able to then so was he. But he kept his mouth shut since the subject was getting annoying. He was usually nice and he wasn't about to stop because of the other boy. He was just going to have to ignore him. "Way to go, Sylvian!" He clapped his hands together once and then reached for more jelly beans.

"Its now a tie and the snitch still hasn't been caught. Its anyone's game and there's tons of tension on the field. Let's go teams! You can do it!" He stuck a green jelly bean into his mouth and made a face. It tasted horrid! He took the jelly bean out of his mouth and wiped off his tongue with his hand. "Winner gets all my green jelly beans!"

Post by Guest Wed Nov 13, 2013 9:14 pm

Last game was simply embarrassing for everyone on Montagnard's team, that included Payton despite what some thought he played just as bad. There was lots of tension on the pitch today though, not just between the two teams but between the teams and the announcers as well. It seemed it was so annoying that even the opposite teams captain was trying to hush the talk of the Montagnard captain. She was sure glad Osmund was captain and not her, while she would love to be a beater like him and be good enough to be captain she didn't want everyone to blame her for a loose.

Last game Paige had knocked one of her best friends out of the sky, again, and almost hit the captain but it still wasn't good enough and this time she planned on changing that. She watched at the chasers battled it out and continued to even the score out making it so the win would surely come down the seeker and it was obvious they had the best one. She was confident in their win but that didn't slow her down when it came to throwing bludgers at anyone in green and blue.

The two teams were scoring pretty evenly, which Quinn supposed was an improvement for Montagnard, not so much for Cerisier. He would've loved to have outscored Montagnard again, but today the opposing chasers were even more on their toes than usual.

Nonetheless, he was still doing pretty good himself, and after every goal that he made or helped a fellow chaser make, he threw a smirk in Marie-Laure's direction. He discovered she was doing the same, in vice versa, as a few times he caught her eyes after she scored. "I'll admit that you are good," He shouted, after she had scored a goal and was smirking at him. "But I am a lot better!" Last game, he had proven that, and he was going to do the same with this game.

He received the quaffle and was about to hand it off to his cousin when the boy said something weird to him. "What? I'm not-!" But before Quentin could finish, his cousin had flown off again. How weird for Christian to suggest such a thing when him and Marie-Laure were simply just being competitive.

All his goals he had made proved to be for nought as the on-a-roll Montagnard seeker suddenly caught the snitch.

Charon's heart collapsed into his rib cage. Not again. Not another loss in a neck and neck game because of their seeker play. His leg had hurt so bad throughout the game and it had impaired his play quite a bit. He was off centered on his broom to account for the injury. While healed, it still hurt terribly. He really wanted to show Cassie it had healed perfectly. She'd been worried terribly after he'd gotten rocked off his broom by Paige again. She was a phenomenal beater. He always seemed to forget that because of her playful and happy nature.

No one can understand true frustration until they are a chaser and the score continues to even out. Not only do you know that the only way you can secure your teams victory is to score 150 or more but you can't even get the lead. Christian felt like he was failing as captain in this game because it was his job to lead them to victory and he wasn't. He was fighting for the possession of the quaffle but the minute he got it he lost it soon afterwards.

Christian had to smirk at his little cousins reaction to his words but flew off quickly to score a goal for their team. It seemed all their efforts were once again all for nothing when that damn seeker for Montagnard catch the snitch again. That bloody boy had caught that snitch every game surely this one shouldn't been theirs. The current Cerisier seeker was definitely going to have to be cut from the team.

Paige was trying to find a bludger that she could send towards a Cerisier player when the whistle was blown. Like usual everyone immediately starting looking around to find which seeker had been able to get their hands on the snitch first. And to no one's surprise the player in red and purple had the gold ball in hand with a bright smile on his face. They all landed and the blonde went over to hug their seeker and thank him for such a good year.

After she had finished that she went over to her friend on the opposite team. "Hey sorry about your leg last time you still not feeling well?" She asked as she had noticed during the game that he had the occasional look of pain on his face and since she hadn't hit him this game it must have been from the last one.

Annaliese smiled as the score finally changed to the one she had been dying to see all season long. "Yeah!!" She cheered out and high fived her fellow team mate in the air. "In your face Cerisier!!!" She laughed wholeheartedly, she wasn't meaning to hurt anyone's feelings, but she was happy. It was the second cup they'd won since she'd started school there. Sighing contently, she flew to the ground and high-hived their seeker and gave Oz a tight hug of joy. It was only natural she act like his fiance while they were in this lock..because the administration was aware of their situation too. If they defied their parents at school, she knew they'd be notified, but this wasn't the time to worry about it. They had won the game and the cup!

Charon found himself happy for Paige despite himself and gave her a quick hug. "My leg is fine...well not fine, but it's no big deal. Congrats, you guys won fair and square." He couldn't help but think this game might have ended differently if his...girlfriend?...ex-girlfriend?...friend? had not left the school and they'd still had her her at seeker. Oh well, Charon sighed to himself, shook hands with a couple Montagnards and flew off to the locker room. Maybe he'd get lucky and there would be an open punching bag that he could take his frustrations out on. He hadn't thought of her all year, figures a quidditch game would bring it, whatever it was between them back to mind. He shook his head. Boy that punching bag was in for a walloping.
