Cousins United
Being a third year was a big deal to Caleb, he had more freedoms now. He was able to have his candy back after he promised to be more responsible with it. Which he was going to do. He was not losing his candy again, never again. He was also super excited that his cousin, Mabel, had gotten her letter. Everyone always worried about her getting her letter and he was so glad that she did.
A family meeting was in order and Caleb had picked the perfect place, the pub. It was the perfect place to just sit and talk. Though Mabel and Fiona didn't get along very well, Caleb hoped they didn't argue while they spent time together. That would ruin his good mood. he sat in between his two cousins. "Sooo, how was your summer?" He asked both of them. Over the summer he spent his time helping his mother around the house because of her pregnancy, it made some things more difficult for her. So, Caleb volunteered to help out.

Re: Cousins United
Mabel wasn't too fond of spending time with her sister, but she was happy to spend time with her cousin. She always favored her cousins over her sisters, they were so much cooler. Patrick was always fun to be around, they used to put on shows together when Patrick wasn't so busy with his friends. She was always close to Patrick, but not that much anymore. If anything, she was even closer to Caleb than she had been with Patrick.
She had spent some of the summer with Caleb and the rest a performing arts camp that she was surprised with. She was barely home over the summer, but she spent the last weeks of summer vacation at home. That was when she had gotten her letter and when her parents freaked out. "My summer was good, I made some friends at camp and only made three people cry." In her defense, they were pathetic anyways.

Fiona was really excited about her younger sister going to Beauxbatons. It meant more opportunities to make her snap. Mabel was so much fun to poke. It was possibly about the only thing she was good at. Her school work certainly wasn't up to scratch. Fiona had always known that wasn't her area of talent any more than Quidditch or anything else involving exercise.
"My summer's been lots of fun," Fiona said with a grin. "It's such a shame Mabel couldn't be there a lot. I had some plans with her." Not so much as with her sister but more plans which involved making Mabel's life a misery. "I'm surprised you only made three people cry. Losing your touch. I tell you what. How about I keep a record of how many people you make cry at Beauxbatons? It's sure to be fun."

"I'm not losing my touch, I was there for dance not to torture people. I was too focused on the camp and not the people in it." Mabel wasn't losing her touch and she was going to prove it. She wasn't growing soft or nice, she was still mean as ever.
"Fine," Mabel said, agreeing to the bet. "I can make tons of people cry without even trying." She did that all the time and only shrugged when she saw tears come from other people's eyes. "I'm glad I wasn't home, camp was so much better."
She then turned her attention to Caleb. "How's Aunt Joy?" Mabel had helped Caleb a bit over the summer with his mom. She loved to be around her aunt, she was always so nice and funny. "I hope she's doing well."

There they went again, arguing like siblings did. Well, at least that's how they argued. Caleb and Patrick didn't argue much so he wasn't sure how siblings argued. "Okay, time to calm down." He sipped his butterbeer that he had bought before the girls showed up. "You guys better not fight while at school, you're there to have a good time."
"Mom's fine," Caleb said with a smile. He had finally gotten over the fact that he wasn't going to be the baby anymore. Though sometimes he was upset about it, but overall he was a pretty happy person. After talking to Adela last school year, Caleb felt more relaxed about all of this and was excited to have a baby brother or sister. "I still wonder what she's having."

Fiona shrugged. "I wasn't fighting. I was just letting Mabel know how much I missed her and look forward to her coming to Beauxbatons with me." She was certain to be a lot of fun and then when Grace came Fiona would have two sisters to choose from for pranks. "I'm sure Grace was happy you weren't home too. If you get into Montagnard Caleb and I can throw you a party. How would you like that?" Not much if Mabel knew what ideas for this 'party' were swirling through Fiona's mind at that moment in time.
"A girl," Fiona cried. "She'll have a girl and then we can make you and Patrick really feel over run with Miller girls." Fiona really did hope that was the case. It'd keep the number of girls higher than the number of boys in the family and that was the way it should be.

Mabel rolled her eyes but didn't say anything, she wasn't going to give Fiona the satisfaction of Mabel getting upset and saying something rude. She didn't feel like saying anything to the girl and just ignored her. She didn't want a party and she didn't want to be in the same house as her. If only Caleb wasn't in the same house as Fiona.
"I hope its another boy, but I suppose your mother would want a girl." She was tired of just having girls around, that's why she spent most of her time at Caleb's during the summer. But now she was at school and that was another way to get away from her sisters. Even though one did go to school with her, which she wish wasn't true. "Another boy would be nice." She was always one to hang out with boys instead of girls, if she hung out with anyone at all.
