Student Organized Press? Empty Student Organized Press?

It was Adela's second year at Beauxbatons, and she was finally getting used to the school. She decided it was the perfect time to start becoming more active in school activities. She had seen that there was a school newspaper run by students, and thought that it would be perfect for her. While looking in one of the newspapers, she saw that Sawyer Johnson had wrote an article. Adela and Sawyer were kind of friends, and she was best friends with his brother, so she decided to ask him about getting involved in the press during lunch one day.

Adela walked over to where Sawyer was sitting, newspaper in hand. She plopped the newspaper down right in front of Sawyer and took a seat next to him. "I saw that you were a part of the group who runs the school newspaper. I've been wanting to get involved in a school activity or club and thought that this would be the perfect one for me. I figured you might be able to help me out, if you would please. Do you know if there are any positions open that I could possibly fill?"

Sawyer liked to eat, so it was no surprise that someone would be able to find him at the Montagnard table even after most people had already left for other things. He was still stuffing his face when Payton's friend stopped by. He gave her one of his signature smirks as she started talking. "Oh not even a hello now dear? Not very nice of you now. Hello Adela." He said with a chuckle.

"As for the newspaper, we are always looking for new people. Gotta be able to keep up the awesome standards that we keep at SOP." He said teasingly. He didn't really think his stuff was very good but it couldn't help to be positive about the situation.

Adela smirked. "Hello Sawyer," she said in a drawn out, teasingly fancy voice. "Okay, well you just found yourself a new person." She was excited to be joining a group. This was the perfect way to get involved with school, other than classes that is. "So, when do I begin? Do I have to talk to anyone in particular before I actually join? What exactly would I be doing, anything in specific? Are there group meetings, and if so how often?" Adela realized she was probably overwhelming the poor boy with all of her questions. "Sorry for asking so many questions Sawyer, I'm just really excited. It sounds like a lot of fun, I mean, it must be interesting with you in it," she teased.

He gave her obviously teasing hello a smirk, "There you go, now was that so hard for you?" He asked jokingly. She seemed really nice and funny which made him wonder why he didn't spend more time with her. Perhaps Payton saw her often and she only needed one trouble making twin to deal with, not that he particularly cared either way. He had his own friends, or friend, or at least he thought he did not that he was so sure about that relationship anymore either.

That wasn't important right now, he told him self as he gave Adela his full attention again. She was persistent about this SOP thing and that made him smile. It would be nice to have someone he knew there. "If you go up to the Northwest tower there is a room at the top with a plaque that reads 'Student Organized Press'. Inside you'll find applications to join the club, I've never heard of a case where someone didn't get in. If you want to know more you can find Linette Puchard, I think her name is, she is a prefrect, announcer and leader of the club I'm sure she'd help. As for meetings there is one mandatory one every year and you'll be notified of when that is and you must turn it at least one article by the due date which you'll also have previous notification of. And I think that answers all of your question." He said with a cheerful smile. "Is that all you want now, jeez I'm a very busy man I don't have time for all your questions you pesky girl." He said with a wink teasing her about her apology for all the questions.

"I can see how busy you are Sawyer. I'm so terribly sorry for interrupting you from stuffing food into your mouth." It was fun teasing Sawyer, he always came up with cheeky comebacks for responses. "You'd better be careful. I don't want to be the one trying to push you through the door of the Montagnard common room when you gain four hundred pounds," she joked.

"Seriously though, thank you for all of your help. I really appreciate it." Adela smirked. "I just hope you won't mind when I steal all of your stories and show people that I'm a better reporter than you." She gave him a wink. "I'll give you a run for your money, just you watch."
