Quidditch practices started nearly as soon as possible, for Osmund didn't want their win last year to be a mere fluke. They had only won because every on the team had pushed themselves to their hardest, and Osmund wanted to see the same amount of effort from everyone this year, if not even more. They had a summer to relax and be lazy, so it was fine time he whipped everyone back into shape. Of course he didn't expect everyone to be right on the ball right away, but he couldn't help but notice some serious lagging.

After watching Montoya let the quaffle fly in for the umpteenth time, Osmund sighed and rolled his eyes and decided maybe it was time to end practice. The Montagnard chasers were the only ones really getting anything out of this. "Alright, that's enough for today!" He called and waved his hands for them to stop. "Admirable effort, chasers. Montoya, I want to talk to you before you go change," Osmund said and then let everyone else go.

He landed and rested his broomstick away in the broomstick cupboard before coming back out and walking up to Montoya. "What's going on?" He asked, directly and not beating around the bush. "I've seen you play better in your first few practices when you originally joined the team than what you did today. What's distracting you?" Honestly if it was a boy, he was going to have to ask to choose between him and Quidditch. Of course he didn't care what was going on in his teammates love lives, but if their love life was getting distracting, then it was time to say goodbye.

Annaliese had been distracted the whole summer as well as through the beginning of her third year. She couldn't focus on anything except what had happened before the last game...last term...everything happened so quickly and. In the same way ended....with those words...his cold words "I don't even like you" the words made her cringe every time she thought about them. If he he didn't like her at all why had he pulled that stunt in the locker room, made her feel so special...so loved and the ripped it away from her...she didn't know why she felt the way towards Oz that she did...but she did.

As he called her over and grilled her about her performance, she crossed her arms and gave him a melancholy look. And sighed...."I don't know what to tell you Oz...I think I've changed a little..." she started. She had really changed over the summer. Her golden locks had been replaced by a set of brown and she thought that she looked more grownup and mature. More in tuned to life.."But I have you to thank for that don't I?" She said boldly with an ever so slight glare.

Oz's hands found themselves a home on his waist as he gave Annaliese an interrogating look. He didn't possess a hatred towards women, but the female gender always had a tendency to be even more so confusing than the already confusing males. In short, he didn't understand a thing of what Annaliese was driving at and his eyebrow rose in an unhumored fashion.

Yes, she had changed. He noticed the switch from blonde to brunette, but girls were always doing stuff like that, he thought it was just a fashion statement. And what did change have to do with her current pitiful performance during practice. "So you mean to tell me you now have changed into someone who doesn't care about Quidditch or Montagnard? Is that what you mean to tell me?" He sounded a bit pissed off, but quite frankly, he was. His keeper's keeping skills have gone to slumber with the fishes and their first game of the season was coming up soon. His mood wasn't helped by the extra fuel given by her saying it was his fault.

"It's my fault you now suck at your one job on this team?" The notion was absolutely incredulous! "We won last year, if you recall. So if this is about my captaining skills then I don't know what to tell you. Switch to Cerisier! Captain D'Angelo is a pussy compared to me!" His fists clenched in his frustration. He wasn't going to punch her or anything, but he found that the exercise helped him calm down somewhat. After a brief breather, Osmund added, more kindly, "Listen, if you keep up this work...I can't guarantee you can remain on the team. So if you honestly care, step it up! You're better than this."

"No!" She yelled in defense. "I care about Montgnard...and everything....I love my position on the team, there's nothing wrong with you captaining skills....you not terrible....and I do care, but Oz...I need to explain something to me." She started..."I need you to tell me what happened in the locker room last term...because I didn't do that....you did...and it was like..everything bad in the world went away...but then you just stopped you said those cruel words and everything I wanted and cared about away...just like my family..." she stated quietly. "Look...I'm not forcing you like me Oz...I don't want you to do anything you don't want to....I just want to know...why...?"

There was something Osmund was missing in this and, as usual, he was going to be blamed for being blind to something. He tried his best to listen and understand, but the more she spoke, the more confused he got. "If you care so much, why don't you show it?" He growled, interrupting her for the moment, but she continued on speaking anyway. This was proving to be less and less about Quidditch and more about him.

So this was about the kiss? Osmund's cheeks flushed slightly at the mention. He was always embarrassed thinking about that because he knew it would make their relationship a bit awkward and he was proved right. Apparently it had been bothering Annaliese as well, but in a different way than it had him. For Osmund, Osmund just regretted kissing someone he had no romantic interest in and really didn't want the whole school to know she had kissed him. The thing about the kiss and Annaliese is that it seemed that she had actually enjoyed it and she wanted to know why he had done it.

"Heat of the moment, I guess," Osmund replied, with a shrug. He wasn't exactly sure of why his body had acted so in the first place, because afterwards he definitely knew there was nothing going on between them, at least on his side of the spectrum. "Look, I guess you sort of flattered me and like people don't really do that," He played nervously with his hair, always being absolutely inept when it came to explaining emotions. "So I guess I overreacted and I'm sorry...but I don't remember being cruel about it." He finished, raising an eyebrow at her words. Were girls that sensitive that they cried when a boy ran away after kissing them? He didn't have a clue.

"Maybe I took it the wrong way..." she started, but then raised her eyebrow..."But there's something else...isn't there..." she spoke with such certainty. "What's bugging you Oz..?" She asked almost concerned, "You've been off since the kiss...but not just towards me..." she knew he was hiding something...maybe....it was more obvious than she was pushing into it. She twirled her new brown lock of hair and smirked a little. "What's your secret Oz...Hmmm?" She pressed a little more on the question. "You can tell me." She smiled a little wider and giggled. "I wont say anything, I promise." She didn't want to force him, but she for some reason felt like she had a right to know

Osmund sighed out of relief as it appeared that Annaliese was catching on that her point of view of the kiss and his weren't not quite similar. He was glad that he got away from having to apologize for something that came across wrong, even though he didn't mean it that way. He had told her that he didn't like her that way, which he had supposed was a bit cliche, but it was true. He just didn't feel attracted to her.

His eyes widened as she seemed on to him for something he didn't realize he had let clues upon. He wasn't ready to start telling the world about his little discovery last year, thinking it to be unimportant to anyone but the people whom he desired to be in a relationship with and definitely not wanting his father to hear about it from anyone else but himself and in person. He tried to find a quick way out. "Nothing! I'm just too focused on Quidditch and studies to be interested in dating!" He made the excuse, but honestly having a significant other would definitely help with the stress that came along with those things previously mentioned.

His hands raised up in his defense as he backed up. She wasn't going to go easy on him, was she? "I don't have a secret!" He defended. "You're just not my type!" He was guessing this had something to do with her thinking that she needed to know what was wrong with her. There wasn't anything wrong with her. She just so happened to be female. "There's plenty of other boys in the school who would definitely be interested in you!"
