Day Off Empty Day Off

Post by Guest Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:29 pm

Payton decided it was time for him to relax. He barely had time to just sit and relax. He was so busy with Quidditch, studying, classes, and other things, he barely had anytime for himself. Today was going to be different. He was going to relax. He grabbed a good book and his ferret's cage and made his way out to the lake.

It was a beautiful sunny day and it was very warm. A prefect day actually. He sat beneath the shade of a tree and let out his ferret. "Don't go too far Darcy." The ferret ran off, staying in sight though.

When Payton heard footsteps, he looked up. It was the seeker for the opposite team, Louise. He didn't really know her well, just that they were rivals and that she was a first year. "Hello," he said softly. "Take a seat if you'd like." He wasn't sure if she'd like the idea of socializing with her rival. "I promise I don't bite."

Day Off Empty Re: Day Off

Louise decided that the day off would be necessary since the last day of the game was coming soon. She bit her lip a little and walked along the edge of the lake basket in hand, humming along to herself. As she continued on she found the humming turning into singing. "Skip skip the lady to the masters gate' She sang as she did indeed skip along. Smiling she turned when someone said. "Oh Hello..." she said nicely and then realized whom had said it. "Oh...hello Payton..." She sighed and sat down next to him. "Taking the day off too?" She asked courteously pulling her knees to her chest and glanced at him and opened her basket pulling out a sandwich. "Want one?" She asked nicely.

Payton shook his head at the offered sandwich. "I'm having lunch with my friend Adela later." His friend Adela that had cheered him on in the stands of every Quidditch game. She came just to see him, she was beginning to be his lucky charm. "She comes to every game. I look every time." He also looked for his twin brother, it was a pregame ritual of his. "A day off was in order. I came out here with little Darcy." He nodded to his curious ferret that was in the middle of looking at itself in the reflection of the lake. "Curious little thing. I hope she doesn't fall in." Darcy was one to get in trouble, she'd always find a way to do that.

Payton wondered how their captains would react with them talking. The captains were friends, so it probably wouldn't affect them much. Though, you never know with Osmund. It was like he had major mood swings. Payton never knew when he was in a good mood or not. He probably hid his good moods from the rest of the world. "So, having fun on the Quidditch team?"

Louise smiled at the boy as he explained how his friend came to see him. It seemed as though Payton had everything under control his life seemed perfect. She smiled at his little ferret. "I actually recently got a kitten recently." She shrugged. "She's in my room." She shook her head and giggled a little. As he asked the question about her enjoying Quidditch she somewhat shrugged and then looked at him. "Quidditch is a lot of fun, and the captain is great....but it seems as though he's not pleased will us loosing the last game...so I've got to catch the snitch this time." she giggled nudging his arm.

Darcy ran over and jumped on Payton's lap, she was excited to emmet this new person. "Darcy likes people." Darcy stuck her face in Louise's and began to sniff. "Quidditch is fun. The first time I ever saw it, I wanted to play. But I didn't know how to so Osmund trained me himself." He was glad that he had did instead of turning him down. "We'll see who catches the snitch. Or just depends on how the day goes." You could never tell what the future hold, Payton knew that. "So, how do you like school? I can't wait for next year."
