A Lakeside Lunch

Maybe Charon had gotten a bit overzealous, maybe he was a bit foolish, but he wanted to do this. He set up a blanket and the food he'd gotten from the kitchen watching the peaceful lake. He was hoping she'd actually show, though, she probably wouldn't, she probably felt so uncomfortable agreeing to hang out with him, and just said she'd be there to be nice, he bit his cheek deciding to give her a few more minutes, hoping she'd show up. Charon smiled as a duck flew across the water scooping up a fish. It was a cool sight to see the duck quickly just scoop the fish up. He looked back at the food and sighed hungry, five more minutes, she had five more minutes.

Lucy found herself wandering around the lake looking around for Charon. They had made the plans to see each other for lunch, she'd been very much looking forward to it. Carrying her picnic basket, she looked around. She was quite unaware that he too had brought a basket of food to eat. She walked along the edge of the lake until she spotted him. Running over she smiled, that big cutesy smile. "Hiya!" She laughed a little. "Sorry I'm late." She apologized to him. "I just got all caught up with the cooking and baking and-" Her sentence stopped short when she saw his basket. "Oh...I didn't know you were bring food too." She sighed looking in disappointment down at her basket. "Well...maybe we could have both?" She suggested, not sure what else to say about it. Hopefully that'd be okay with him. She didn't want everything she'd put so much hard work into to go to waste, but he probably didn't want to eat her cooking. He probably thought it would be disgusting, but she could only hope he'd pull through for her.
