Tia's mother was working, her grandmum wasn't capable to run around and shop with her. So Tia were completley on her own. Confused, scared and worried she walked into first object she saw, hoping that there she might find someone who'd help her.The object she walked in was some kind of café There were quite a lot of people, she sat at table alone, hoping that at least waitress could've helped her.

It took Quentin a little while, but once he discovered it, there was no use in denying it. He was definitely lost and within some sort of pub, too. If only he had found himself lost in a more entertaining place like a toy store, then he wouldn't be complaining.

However, without his father and his cousin no where in sight, he was left to his own devices for the time being. He had already scavenged around at other tables, chatting with other people, some interesting, some not so much, but he hadn't yet found the answers he needed and didn't feel like escaping into Amehtyst alley to shop on his own. Maybe he was holding onto a hope that his father would come back for him. Nonetheless, he could find some way to entertain himself.

With his clanging pocket full of money, he was able to buy two butterbeers. One for himself and one for a friend. Who that friend was, he was about to find out as he spotted a table where a lonely girl sat. "Hello! My name is Quentin D'Angelo. Would you like a butterbeer?" He asked before taking a seat.

Tia was completly lost in her minds. What should she do if no one can help her? She started to feel panic in her stomach and took a deep breath to calm down.

While she was waitning for waitress to come, she wondered what should she order, what to Wizards drink? Thought of her as an Wizard made her feel proud, she was special, something she always wanted to be.
She made messy bun of her hair and look around the café. Everyone seemed so excited.

Male voice brought her back to reality. She smiled when he introduced.
"Tia Ross" she said "And sure" she nodded not really sure what a butterbear is.

He smiled as the girl was at least friendly enough to return an introduction and accept his offer. He slide one of the butterbeers over towards the girl and took his own in his hand to drink himself. The taste of butterbeer was always one of his favourites since it was sweet and unexplainably warm. He smile as the liquid slide down his throat and then turned to Tia again.

"Are you shopping for school supplies too today? There seems to be an awful lot of kids wandering around with the same idea," He joked, partially regretting that he had selected this day for school shopping above others. Sure he was getting the chance to meet some people before he went into school, but maybe if he had waited, his father would've been able to come.

"Thank you" she said when he handed her butterbear. It didnt look like any muggle drink she had ever seen. It looked like something between pudding and coffee with cream on the top. He took a sip of it so she did the same. It was nice and warm, probably the best drink she had ever tasted.

"Um yes, but I am kinda confused and lost" she shrugged smiling slightly "Both, my mother and grandmuther are not witches so there is actually no one who can show me where to go and what to get" she took another sip of her drink.

Taking another swig of butterbeer, he tried not to look as crestfallen as he had felt when the girl explained that she was quite confused and lost. So was he, though unlike her, his family was magical, so he really didn't have much of an excuse for that.

"What about your father?" He asked, taking note that she had only mentioned the women of her family being muggles, which left her father in question. He was also curious as to where those mentioned were for her. Did she get left because work was chosen over her as well? If so, he could relate well. Things like that were always happening to him. Usually he didn't mind, but this time he did because his father promised he wouldn't do this to him specifically on this occasion, for this was a special occasion. He sighed audibly and then finished off his butterbeer.

"My father was a muggle too" she said shrugging "My mother said that he was a sailor man but that's all I know" she frowned "Not really fair though. But let's not talk about that" she smiled again.
She hated to talk about her father, as much as her mom did.
At first, when she was younger she wanted to know as much as she could, but now she wasn't interested in knowing anything about man who left her before he could even get to know her.
"What about your family? Are they all wizards?" she turned to him with slight smile.

Quentin shifted in his chair a bit as the girl spoke of her father in a way that insinuated the man was no longer around; just like his mother was. "Oh sorry if that was a sensitive topic...I didn't know," He apologized. He was very good with emotions as deep as that. Usually when his sister cried, it was over something simple, like dropping her ice cream, which he could fix by doing something humorous to cheer her up. It didn't seem like he could easily distract Tia like that, though.

He was glad when she didn't seem to dwell on it for too long and graciously moved on to talking about himself. "Yeah, we're all wizards. My grandfather is kinda crazy about keeping magic in the family. My uncle cause some controversy in the family when he hooked up with a muggle and had a kid, but the kid turned out alright. He's my cousin, Christian, and he is a really alright kid," Quentin explained. He did like his cousin. But he liked him a whole lot more when he was immediately around when he needed him.

"Seems like really interesting environment to live in" she said smiling polite "I wish that I had a chance to learn a bit more about magic before I received my letter" she shrugged.
Even she found his grandad a bit bizarre she found his magic life way more interesting than her simple muggle one. But somehow she wouldn't change. It was something in the way he was talking about his family and the muggles that she didn't like, but she decided to ignore it.
"Have you already bought everything you need for school?" she asked because she really had no idea where to start her shopping.

Quentin laughed as she called his family 'interesting.' They were anything but! "The most interesting factor of my family would have to be me!" He replied, perhaps putting himself down a bit but he liked being the oddball of the family. That's what always caught his father's attention, even if his attention was shown through him yelling at his son for doing something stupid or strange. Like the hair incident. Quentin chuckled to himself about that one.

"No sadly I still have a long day of shopping ahead of me," Quentin started. "You see, my father promised to take me shopping, but work called and now I am stuck alone. My cousin was supposed to help me out some, but he's fourteen and has a life and friends so I am kinda quitting on the idea of him guiding me through this whole town. So that leaves me almost in the same position as you. I'm a bit lost, you see."
