Expectations Empty Expectations

Payton was itching to get to shopping and getting their things, he was ready to go to the school and get away from the bloody farm, even just this shopping trip was doing him some good. Of course, he didn't mind being at home but he wanted to go to the school ever since he and his brother were causing... things... to happen. Most commonly Payton could... accidentally.. cause their youngest brother's cereal to explode in his face. Of course, each morning he would be scolded for it.

Of course, he couldn't help it, it would just happen. Noah would claim that he was doing it on purpose, but he really wasn't. Sawyer was having similar problems. That was when they were sure that they were going to be attending the school together. Payton was hoping that they would be able to be sorted together, he remembered Teddy, their older sister, saying something about being sorted into separate houses but that didn't kill his hope that he and his twin would be able to stick together.

He turned to Sawyer and pursed his lips. "I think we should get something to drink while we wait for Teddy to show up." He said, knowing that their sister was supposed to help them get their things for the year. He glanced around and pulled his brother to a table that was being vacated so that they could snag it for themselves and get something to drink. "What do you think the school is going to be like, Sawyer?" He asked glancing around to see all the other people that were in the eatery.

Being away from the farm finally felt freeing, and he didn't mean away as in going to the nearest little school he meant actually away like in the city with lots of people around. It was crazy how many people there were cluttering this little tiny pub, La Petit Dragon it was called. Sawyer just loved the whole idea of magic everything about it interested him even the name of this pub, could dragons really be real, like alive animals just like dogs and cats and stuff. At the moment there was nothing cooler in the world than magic in the small child's mind. Even the small amount of it he himself preformed once in awhile, like when he would make Cherry's soup boil over onto the ground once in awhile. Of course he was scolded and had to clean it up not that it was entirely his fault.

Ever since finding out that not only he had received the powdered blue letter to Beauxbatons but Payton had as well Sawyer had been looking forward to this very day. His first taste of the wizarding world, sure it was only shopping but even shopping was cool now. Teddy was supposed to take the two of them out shopping together since she had experienced all of this last year. For now however the two excitable boys were stuck sitting around waiting for her but that wasn't so bad.

Payton quickly snagged them some seats and not soon after they sat down a waiter came over asking if they would like anything to drink. "Could you come back in a moment please?" Sawyer answered him wanting to at least look at a menu first. "I think the school is going to be a big fancy blue castle with a ton of floors and magic spells being cast everywhere. Or just like a regular school just in a palace." He answered with a smile. The small blonde pulled out a menu that was sitting on the table and read it over, "Hey Payton what is this 'butterbeer' drink this says it is this places number one seller?"

It was true that while Payton was more accustomed to being bothered by someone of the family, he actually found himself almost missing the pokes and jabs from older and younger siblings. Of course, it wasn't like he was begging for them to accompany him to school, escaping them would definitely be okay for a little while, but getting back was something he already found himself wanting to do. The tight-knit family might like to get on one another's nerves, but at least it was comforting and reassuring that he had someone to mess with and enjoy. There was no guarantee that they were going to be able to make friends at the magic school, and part of him was scared that they wouldn't- so he took comfort in knowing that he was going to have his brother there at his side and his sister wouldn't be too far off either.

Learning everything there was to know about magic was a daunting task as well, Teddy wasn't going to be telling them anything- Payton guessed that it probably had something to do with the fact that she didn't have anyone to tell her about magic, so they were going into this as blinde as she was. The only advantage that they had over her was that she had gone to the school and they knew magic was real because of it. Their own blue envelopes arrived and she seemed set on witholding anything she knew. That was fine. That made this more exciting for the twins.

Payton listened to his brother talk and he nodded absently while he made suggestions- he was too busy being lost in his own thoughts about what everything was going to be like to bother providing his own ideas. In his mind's eye, it was a castle, much like Sawyer had suggested, but it wasn't blue. Inside were trials and different ways to learn how to use the magic. It was probably really easy to get lost too, castles were big and this one had magic in it, so certainly there were going to be things that would fool them like.. maybe false floors or something. When he heard his name he looked up and shook his head, "I don't know Sawyer, you should get some, then if its good you should let me try it!" He gave his brother a devious look, of course if he liked it he would just get one of his own, but he wasn't going to tell Sawyer that.
