The New Team Empty The New Team

Post by Ursula Valdez Wed Mar 09, 2016 3:58 pm

So this was it. The group of Quidditch players Ursula was going to lead. She wasn't sure how to start, but she had written some things down in preparation of her Captain debut. "First of all, I'd like to say nice job to everyone who made it past the qualifiers. I know maybe not all of you are sure you're ready for this, but I did see all of your tryouts, and you three", she pointed to the two new Chasers and the new Seeker, "have a lot of potential. So, we'll just have to refine the rough edges and then I think we'll surely be able to win!"

Honestly, Ursula really thought that. She did manage to see Anthony and his new team earlier that week, but she wasn't too impressed. As usual, they had a lot of technique but not the power to back it up. And despite Anthony managing to make her head spin with his shooting, she wasn't too impressed with his two other Chasers. She also felt bad regularly for their Keeper and was considering giving him some personal training, just in the spirit of competition. But not now! Now was the time for training. She gave her team a giant smile. "Alora, you might have done some good tryouts, but this is the real thing! We'll be playing with only one Bludger and the Quaffle. Chasers, practice dummies are gone. You face me now!" She might have laughed a bit too evilly as she took to the sky. No more managing, only playing now!

The New Team Empty Re: The New Team

Minnie was proud of both her cousin and herself. Not only had Madi kept up her end of the bargain but she'd made onto the team with her. She threw an excited grin toward Madi before returning her focus on the team captain. Potential! Oh yes. That'd poke the father. Minnie knew he hadn't been a first year when he ended up on his team. Granted he'd also become captain at the same time but who was going to give that to a first year? She was well on the way to proving she was a better player than Christian d'Angelo.

"Do you think she'll be tough to get past?" Minnie whispered to her cousin. In a way Minnie hoped so because that meant the Lumière chasers will have a hard time getting past their keeper. That was far more important in Minnie's book than her managing to slip the quaffle past her captain. Not that she wasn't going to try. Of course she would do her best. This was important and part of her long term plan.
