Isobel was hardly a fan of Apollo. He wasn't a bad guy or anything. She was mostly jealous that he got so much of Sophie's attention and that they were Quidditch rivals. But Sophie had apparently suggested that he take her, because she was invited maybe a week or so after her best gal friend mentioned the dance.

So Isobel said yes because maybe "Mr. Sun God," wasn't such a bad guy after all.

So Isobel wore the dark blue dress that Mabel Miller (Stark's girlfriend/baby mama) had worn instead of what she had planned to wear for her and Cameron's first dance together. Mabel's was cute enough she supposed. And it wasn't too revealing and Sophie couldn't say that Iz was trying to steal her boyfriend.

They agreed to meet at the dance, outside of the Grand Hall.

She gave him a half smile. "Hi," she greeted, pushing her hair behind her ear. "Are you ready?" she asked.

Valentine's Day... the part of the year that can satisfy Apollo's needs for chocolates and candy, between Christmas and Easter! A special day indeed. Apollo never really took Valentine's Day seriously. When you really love somebody, you show them your love all year round. Why should there be such a "special" day. For chocolate of course! At least, that was why this day was special to Apollo. Apollo only had one girlfriend during his lifetime, but back in his old school, Valentine's Day Dance was... different... There was so much awkward grinding from random girls, that the whole Dance looked more like a celebration of awkwardness, than a celebration of love. Last year's Valentine's Day Dance, was far better. Beauxbatons knew how to organize, pretty much everything.

Apollo was 100% sure, that this year's Beauxbatons Valentine's Day Dance would be awesome, to say the least. Preparations begun from December. He'd love to take Sophie to the Dance, but only sixth and seventh years were allowed. Isobel was the next girl he thought of, even though she didn't seem to like him. Who knows? They may became friends during the Dance. Everything is possible!

Apollo didn't want to look too formal. He always liked wearing clothes that made him feel comfortable. A plain white shirt along with a gray coat seemed pretty fine, even though he prefers more colorful clothes. Apollo waited for Isobel outside of the Grand Hall, with an impatient smile. Upon her arrival he was happily surprised...She looked gorgeous.

"Καλησπέρα." He smiled cheerfully. "Yes, I am ready! Let's go! Wow, you look pretty~"

Isobel started walking toward the door, ignoring his random Greek tangent. She didn't care enough to ask what he was saying. "Thanks," she said. "It was my sister-in-law's."

Isobel laughed out loud at the decor of the Grand Hall. It felt like every cheesy movie ever, except with magic. There were red and pink and white streamers and mountains of crepe paper. "I think this is a little silly," she said, still laughing. "Have you ever seen any classic Muggle rom-coms?" she asked, walking further into the room. She didn't know how much dancing she actually wanted to do just yet, so she was headed toward the snacks and punchbowl.

Apollo smiled. Yeah, he and Isobel weren't really best friends, but that was what made this night interesting. He hoped that this Valentine's Day Dance, would lead to a new friendship. Apollo, always loved making new friends.
"Your sister-in-law, must have a pretty cool fashion sense~" He said and smiled. Apollo didn't know really a lot about fashion, but he commented on that dress, anyway. It just looked gorgeous on Isobel.

Nothing in this world, could prepare Apollo for the kind of decoration, he saw inside the Grand Hall. It looked radically different. He raised his eyebrow and giggled. He wouldn't be surprised if there was a glitter-shooting machine, hidden somewhere.
"Wow, it's so...pink. It's kinda funny. I guess, a unicorn threw up or something. Accidents, can happen..." He said and laughed at his own joke, before nodding at Isobel's comment about the decoration, as well.

"Ναι, actually I'm not really into romantic movies, but as long as there's comedy in it, I can watch it." The seventh year said and looked at Isobel, with a broad smile, lighting his face.

Isobel shrugged. She didn't want to talk about Mabel.

"Maybe," she replied. "Well, I was thinking that this looks like the stereotypical dance scene. Here's the chocolate and punch right here," Isobel said, gesturing widely to the table now in front of them. She turned around to face the dance floor. "And all the awkward cliques joined together. Like, there's the Montagnard Quidditch quitters. And the Student Organized Press," she pointed out. "It's perfect, but also not perfect."

Apollo nodded and laughed at Isobel's comment: "Exactly... Perfect and not perfect. Kinda hard to explain. I kinda like it. It has a lot of food for sure!" He said and laughed. "Well, I mainly come to such Dances for food and fun. I'm not really the romantic type of guy."

Apollo's expression, suddenly changed. That was something quite rare for him. He became serious. He looked at Isobel with a determined look and said, after sighing:
"Look, Isobel. I understand, that you may not really like me that much. I can't do anything about it. However, it'd be great if we could, at least, become slight friends. You were the first person I met here, and I wished we could be... you know... on friendly terms. I know that because of all that Quidditch rivalry, it's quite hard for you to change your feelings... Especially since you don't really like my team's captain either... I just wanted you to know that I don't have something against you, or a reason to hate you." He said and looked away. He just couldn't imagine Isobel's reaction and reply. Seconds, suddenly seemed to be as long as hours.

Isobel laughed and picked up a piece of chocolate off of the table. "Well, I'm not exactly a romantic, either," she stated playfully throwing the candy at him. "At least not to you." She sighed. She wasn't really a romantic person, in general. Cameron was the romantic one in her previous relationship. He had the feelings and she had the willpower and brains to get things done. It was a good mix. She felt herself start to miss him, but she stopped it in its tracks. No time for heartache.

"Who said we weren't friends? Who said I didn't like Kayla? I like Kayla a lot. I consider her a close friend. I just like her from a distance at the moment because her brother broke my heart and I don't want her pity" she explained calmly, impressed that there wasn't any pain associated with those words. "You are a QUIDDITCH rival, not a real one. I'm not threatened by you in the slightest. And I'm just not a 'friendly' person in the way you consider friendly. I'm nice to you all the time. I listen to Sophie talk about you non-stop. So shut-up and stop acting like we have a problem because we DON'T," she finished, her voice getting higher at the end. Isobel was normally so good at hiding her hot-headedness. But there was something about Apollo that brought it out. Maybe that's why she had intentionally ignored him for so long.

But the sixth year wasn't lying. She didn't have a problem with Apollo. But she was having a problem with the temper she had recently developed. She took a deep breath and blinked slowly. I'm fine she thought.

Apollo laughed. He surely wasn't used to Isobel's playful side, but he liked her more, that way. "Well, I'm not telling you to be romantic at me~" He stack his tongue out. Yeah, pretty childish, but he didn't really care...

Apollo was surprised, to say the least, by Isobel's reaction. He knew that he wasn't good at understanding other people's feelings, but in this case, he pretty much understood nothing. He felt embarrassed. He judged somebody without thinking... The same way he does pretty much everything. He knew it was a horrible characteristic of his, but couldn't really control or restrain it.
"I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't talk without thinking. I do that a lot... Forgive me please. I didn't want to show any kind of hostility..." He sighed and hit repeatedly his forehead. "I'm such an idiot!"

Apollo couldn't help but notice, what Isobel said during her little "lecture". Sophie talked about him non-stop. A broad smile appeared across his face. He couldn't hold himself. HE HAD TO ASK.
"She's really talking about me that much? Oh my god... I didn't know that! That's great news!-... Um... I mean..." He coughed. "I mean... yeah. That's great."

Even though the Seventh year, wasn't really good at understanding other people's emotions, something wasn't alright with Isobel. Sophie mentioned about Isobel breaking up and pretty much having a mini-depression... He didn't really know if he should talk to her or not. He preferred to keep his worries for himself...At least, for now.

"No. You aren't an idiot. You're just over-analyzing a situation that has nothing to do with you," Isobel said, shrugging. Apollo was just different than her. "Minding your own business leads to less stress, FYI."

Isobel snorted and unwrapped a piece of candy. "Yeah. All the time. She never shuts up. I mostly ignore it, but you know. She's my best friend, so I do what I have to. And you should be excited. She's a great girl." Isobel put the candy in her mouth, chewed, then swallowed. She didn't like candy. She just needed something to do.

Over-analyzing? Apollo was over-analyzing? He almost never thinks of things through. However, it was true that he was worried about the happiness of the people around him. Maybe Isobel was right... It was time for him to mind his own business.
"Ευχαριστώ, for the advice. I guess I'll try to follow it." He said, with a slight smile.

"Oh my-, really? That's so unexpected! Like... she is so pretty and funny... Sophie talking about me, all the time? Wow! That's like..." Oh shit... He was talking about his crush on Sophie, in front of Isobel. That sudden realization caused him to blush. That was 100%, the most inappropriate moment, for such a thing to happen. "Um... yeah... I apologize for making you listen to all these..."
