The weather the week before the quidditch game was perfect: warm, fairly sunny, with a few clouds The day of the quidditch game was a big difference: it was cold and cloudy. It looked as if it was going to rain, or maybe even snow, but it had yet to do so. She made sure to remind the players of the possibility of snow.

The time had finally come and Bowen checked to make sure that all the players were dressed properly for the weather. Once both teams were on the field, she gave her usual spiel, then blew her whistle.

The sky was unusually dark for the time of day, which only made the worn out fourth year feel even more tired. He loved quidditch, since it was one of the few things he was good at, but between trying to keep his grades up and practices, he felt tired nearly all the time.

Bo fought against a yawn as held onto his broom unto entering the quidditch pitch. He didn't want to seem distracted or miss the snitch. Maybe once he was up in the air, his head would clear a bit more and he could focus. Once the whistle was blown, he ascended and took his place among the team.

Autumn was suddenly feeling a mix of insecurity and sadness. She was a first time player, a first time captain. And playing against her cousin, to whom she was not speaking. That's where the sadness was coming from.

But she wasn't going to let that stop her from encouraging her team to have a good game. And maybe in the meantime, find some encouragement herself.

She put on her game face and flew up to her spot. She looked at her teammates and smiled. As soon as the game balls were released, she was happy to see that her Chasers had the Quaffle first.

Last year was a disaster year for Lucie. Guilt and losing and a few other things which cropped up were now behind her. She was determined to make up for all of it and that included leading her team back to where they were before one disastrous year. A win.

She gave her team an encouraging smile. "We've won before and we can win again," was the gist of her pep talk before leading the Feu team out of the change rooms. It was cold but that in her experience helped her to keep awake. Lucie only hoped it had the same on the rest of the team.

It was only a small worry that Cerisier had the quaffle first. All Lucie had to do if the Quaffle came her way was to block it. One block later and Feu had possession and scored. Now all they had to do was continue to score.

Gregory knew that he was envious of the Cerisier quidditch captain for petty reasons. He was convinced that Autumn could only be captain because of seniority, but he wasn't entirely sure how old everyone on their team was. And she could be an excellent player for all he knew. And as much as he wanted to watch her play in this game, he had other responsibilities. Keeping bludgers away from his teammates was much more important than seeing if his cousin was a better Beater than he was.

Greg had been chasing a bludger around and had managed to hit it toward a Cerisier chaser attempting to score. He didn't stick around to see if it hit the player. He saw the other bludger chasing one of his teammates and flew after it, bat at the ready.

Last year, Feu hadn't done so well and Haruhi couldn't help but feel it was her fault. She had been relatively new to the team and wasn't as talented as her fellow teammates. Surely she could've done better and this year she was determined to do so.

But enough of trying to impress the handsome seeker on her team, Haruhi decided if she was going to kick butt this game, she was going to do it for herself. She still liked Bo, but she couldn't let him be a distraction. She wished the older boy luck before taking to the air and stared down Bowen with the quaffle like a hawk. All her muscles were waiting for the cue to go and she'd dive for the quaffle. The whistle had been blown and the ball released but her hand only grazed the maroon ball before it was seized by a Cerisier. "Rats," She murmured and turned sharply to follow after them.

Catching up to the chaser quickly, she kicked the ball from their hands and grinned as a Feu chaser then caught it and brought it to the other side. And score! It wasn't long before the quaffle was in her hands again and this time it was Haruhi that scored on Cerisier. She laughed out of excitement. Maybe she had failed to reach the quaffle first, but they were doing well without that advantage.

Lucie was amazed at how well her team was doing so far. All scores on the board were theirs. They were making a comeback from last year's disaster. She was blocking potential goals. The chasers were scoring goals. The beaters were preventing Cerisier players from succeeding. All that was needed was for Bo to top it off with catching the snitch.

She flew off after a quaffle thrown at the left hoop and blocked it successfully. Another goal prevented. They really were on a roll. Her already bright smile brightened even more when she heard the ding at the other end of the pitch. It only dimmed when a Cerisier chaser successfully scored against her. She shook off the disappointment by calling out, "keep up the good work Feu." One goal didn't mean a disaster. Feu were still ahead and she could keep Cerisier from scoring even more goals whilst the chasers scored against Cerisier.

Autumn was beginning to get discouraged. Even though Cerisier had scored once, Feu was still doing much better. She told herself to stay calm. There was no reason to get upset.

But she couldn't help it. She hit a bludger toward one of Feu's chasers, missing widely.

But she then heard a bell. She looked around to see who had scored and was pleased to see that it was her own team. "Good work guys! Keep it up. We can do it!" Autumn shouted to her team.

Autumn swung her bat at a bludger following her, sending it to the opposite side of the pitch. She didn't aim it at anyone. She just didn't want it to hit her. It did, however, appear to brush against a player's arm. But that could have just been her eyes playing tricks on her.

He had been wished luck by one of his teammates, but hardly noticed as he took to the sky. He tried to clear his head before the quaffle was released but found himself meandered around as the rest of the quidditch players were zooming around the pitch. He heard goals ring out, indicating points being scored, though for which team, he wasn't sure.

His attention was caught by a flash of gold, his senses returning to him and suddenly he was chasing fast after it. The chase was brief before the small golden ball weaseled it's way between two chasers and it's sight was lost to Bo. He sighed and flew out of the commotion in order to search for the snitch once again.

More goals were made and more chimes of the bell could be heard. Bo wasn't sure how long he had been up in the air, but it felt like quite awhile since the sky was starting to lighten up some. He heard a buzzing pass his ear and turned to see the snitch flying away from him, as if it had only passed him the first time to taunt him. A short chase left him with the snitch in his hand and a victory for his team.

Gregory couldn't help but do a mini-cheer when Cerisier scored. It was a traitorous move, of sorts, but he'd seen Autumn sport Feu's colors during his games. It was only fair in his mind. He hoped his team would understand, if they'd seen him at all.

Gregory had to get back into the game, though his mind began to wander. He seemed to be operating on auto-pilot until, finally, thunderous applause and cheering sounded from Feu's side of the pitch.

That meant Feu had won, right? He looked around and saw Bo holding the snitch. Greg smiled and cheered along with his house. He was proud. It felt good to be part of a team. Especially a winning team.

Feu was beating Cerisier currently and Haruhi was confident for a win. It felt good, knowing that she had worked hard to get to this point, and she felt proud of herself and her whole team as well. Nothing beat the feeling of the uproar of the crowd though when the snitch was caught and it was discovered to have been done so by no other than Bo himself. Haruhi smiled wide, knowing that meant the end of the game and a victory for their team. They were one win closer towards winning the quidditch cup, which Haruhi was determined to do.
