Announcing? Empty Announcing?

Autumn wasn't big on Quidditch. She thought it was a terrible sport, since someone always got hurt. And watching that person get hurt was horrifying. At least, it was to her.

But Autumn was spending a lot more time here since her cousin had made Feu's Quidditch team. She had been helping him with staying balanced on his broom while moving quickly. It wasn't easy teaching someone to fly. But she was doing her best.

So she'd wandered into the stands and had just been walking aimlessly, when she saw a familiar face standing in the announcers' box.

They had met briefly in the Owlery the year before. They did't exchange names. But Autumn had seen her at games commenting. Indigo, the Quidditch commentator.

Autumn didn't even know if she was allowed near the girl's post, so she stood sort of underneath the box, but at an angle where she could see.

"Hi, Indigo!" she called out, Autumn waved at her. "What are you doing up there?"

It was normal to know the announcers names, right? But then again, Autumn only knew Indigo's name. And the girl who had graduated name started with a G, she remembered.

So maybe it was weird.

Announcing? Empty Re: Announcing?

She knew it had to be somewhere. It must have fallen out while she was practicing this morning. Her journal had been in her bag one moment but was gone the next. It had to have fallen out in the announced box, if not then her life was over. Not that anyone cared about the fifth year, there were just embarrassing things in there. She was on her knees looking for the journal when she finally spotted it under the chair she had been sitting at. She let out a long sigh and snatched it up. She stuffed it into her bag and stood up, she brushed the dirt off of her skirt.

When Indigo's name was called, she narrowed her eyes in confusion. Who would be talking to her? No one really knew her and no one went out of their way to talk to her. She recognized the girl she had met the year before. One thing she disliked about being an announcer was that people knew her name without her knowing theirs. "Nothing," she held her journal close to her.

Indigo hugged some sort of book to her chest, looking relieved, until she saw Autumn.

Autumn was suddenly worried that she had made the older girl angry. Indigo looked puzzled, which must have meant why is this little girl talking to me. The older students didn't like her very much, Autumn had discovered. She assumed it was an age thing, when in reality, it was a know-it-all thing.

"Uh... Okay. I was just making sure you're okay! What do you normally do up there?" Autumn asked.

She was just curious. She didn't know what the announcers did while they were waiting for something to happen. Autumn couldn't ever see them, since she was always watching the game. She probably would never do anything like that, so she wanted to know. Just in case.

Her journal never left her side and she took it everywhere with her. There were so many secrets in there that she never let it out of her sight. She was site that no one would really care but there was always that person who would hold everything over her head to get things out of her. She didn't like blackmail but she couldn't put it past over students to participate in it. Indigo stuffed the book into her book bag and zipped it up so there was no chance of it falling out again. She let out a long sigh a as the girl continued to talk to get. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk, she just didn't know what to say to her. Should she invite her up there? Was she allowed to invite her into the anouncer box? She couldn't see why she wouldn't be allowed to. "Come on up," she called down to the younger girl.

She'd show her what she did when she announced for games and practiced for games. Maybe there'd be another announcer next year to take the empty spot or Charlie's spot.

Autumn watched as Indigo shoved a book into her bag and zipped the bag up. Autumn briefly wondered if the older girl had stolen something. If that was the case, Autumn didn't want to be a suspect.

But to Autumn's surprise, Indigo invited her up to the box. Autumn almost turned her head to see if the announcer was talking to someone else, but that was a ridiculous thing to do. There wasn't anyone around.

Autumn climbed up the bleachers, glad that it was a good day for defying gravity.

When she made it up to the box she looked around. She thought it was fantastic. "This is so cool! You can see everything!" she shouted, peering out over the field. "How do you decide where to look?" She picked something she'd never seen before up off of the desk. "What does this do?" she asked excitedly, putting it back down. She picked up a small piece of wood that was much more familiar. "You get pencils up here? I haven't seen a pencil since I went on holiday!" She wanted to draw a picture or write with it, but that was a dumb thing to ]consider. She put it back down. She wasn't allowed to use it for anything anyway.
