This Butterbeer Is Worth It

Post by Guest on Wed Oct 22, 2014 8:08 pm

Mohamed bit his lip gently. He should have been more excited about his wand, but he just wanted another one of the pub's butterbeers. So, he dragged his brother Bo off to the pub after getting his wand as a 'reward'. Mo took a booth quickly and sat down eagerly across from his older brother. "Their butter beer is so much better than the German stuff. Seriously, we're being jipped back home. I should go into town and have a discussion with one of the peddlers. Maybe I could figure out a way to get the French stuff into Germany." Mohamed stroked his chin in thought. "Hmm...I'll need to ask for the pub's supplier."

Beauregard wasn't much of a verbal complainer, but regardless, he wasn't complaining about having to take his adopted younger brother shopping. He supposed of his family, Mo was the one he got along with best. Probably because Mo was the only brother he had among sisters. He was being incredibly patient as Mo insisted they went to get butterbeer after getting his wand as a celebration. "Sure thing, buddy. This is a big step," he had replied. At least that meant he'd get a chance to sit for a bit.

He ordered a butterbeer for each of them and handed four sickles to the waitress. He was entirely ambivalent about the taste of butterbeer, not hating it nor loving it, but he knew how much his younger brother adored it and sure enough, as the drinks arrived, the expression on his brother's face made it worth it.

"Eleven years old and already a business man," Bo noted with moderate humor. The butterbeer tasted about the same to him, though he never really drank butterbeer back home. He preferred tea.

Mohamed sipped patiently once the butterbeer actually arrived. He looked down at one of his bags. This one was from Jaded Pages. Most of the things in it were recommended by Kayla so he hoped that each turned out to be as good as she made them sound. She seemed to know her stuff when it came to books, so Mohamed was pretty excited about the lot of things he had in the bag. Of course he was also excited about the wand. Thirteen inches of oak with a mermaid hair core. "Do you like Beauxbatons, Bo?" Mohamed had never really asked, but he decided he wanted all of his siblings' point of view on what the next seven years of life would be like for him at Beauxbatons.

Beauregard sipped his butterbeer slowly. It was so sweet and of a taste he didn't mind, but wasn't particularly in love with either. His dark eyes wandered around the pub. He was never a rather talkative person and so he was quiet until Mo asked him a question.

Bo had to think about it for a moment. Beauxbatons compared to the other schools he had been in was a dream, but he didn't know how to convey that to Mo. "It's a good school," Bo replied, but he knew Mo wanted a more in depth answer than just that. "The classes might be a bit hard at first, but you'll get the hang of them. Also, it's a good place to make friends." Bo never really had a best friend until he started school and met Riley. "Are you going to follow in your brother's footsteps and go for quidditch?" Beauregard asked, feeling it was time for him to ask a question for once.

"No, I don't really like playing quidditch too much." Mo shrugged. "It's kind of-I dunno-just not really my thing if that makes any sense to you." Mohamed bit his lip softly. "I'd rather just watch you guys play y'know? I might join a club or something for fun though and as a way to meet people." Mohamed shrugged. If Beauxbatons had a music club he'd probably join it in a heart beat. He loved to hangout and listen to his favorite songs as well as play music and write music. He just loved everything about music really. He took a long sip of butterbeer.
