Round III: Feu vs. Nuage Empty Round III: Feu vs. Nuage

Professor Bowen looked up at the sky just as a large rain drop fell onto her face. The weather was just above the freezing point, which meant no snow, but that didn't mean that rain wasn't possible. It's going to be miserable, she thought, as the rain started falling more heavily.

"The weather isn't looking so good," Bowen commented. "But we've played in so much worse. Don't let this rain or cold get you down. We can still have a good game. So do your best, everyone. Stay warm. It's time."

When all the players were in their places, Professor Bowen blew her whistle and released the playing balls.

Round III: Feu vs. Nuage Empty Re: Round III: Feu vs. Nuage

Feu had made it to the final round again and Lucie could feel her confidence growing. She may not have done much in the way of saving goals so far in her very short Quidditch career but there maybe her leadership of the team had a lot to do with their success. She glanced at Bo or perhaps just having a good seeker. Whatever it was she was excited and she beamed at her team. "It may be looking miserable today but we've played in bad weather before and won." Nothing was going to get her down. They haven't lost a game yet and Lucie was going to think positive thoughts and believe they wouldn't lose this game either.

Out on the pitch she hugged her broom close to herself and rubbed her gloved hands together before pulling her googles down over her eyes. Whatever this day brought she would be ready. Lucie shook hands with the Nuage captain and was up in the air ready to defend the goals.

With winter break over, Bo was counting on the weather to look up a bit for the final game of the season. However, such was not the case. Winter seemingly clung on to the environment, the snow refusing to melt. No matter. Bo was starting to gain confidence with his streak of catching the snitch and with his new-to-him broomstick, not much would be able to get him down. He nodded in response to Lucie's pep talk. The weather would be nothing they couldn't handle with a pair of gloves and hat on.

He took to the sky with haste, not exactly used to the speed of his new broom, but still confident it wouldn't be much of a problem. The broom was certainly less beaten up compared to the school's broomsticks but stiff somewhat scuffed up. It flew marvelously and Bo found himself doing unnecessary laps around the pitch in his search for the snitch.

Guen felt bad for Trent. She knew that he thought if he won the quidditch cup that her would impress her. He did that enough already and didn’t need to do anything extra to impress her. Anyways, she was pretty sad that in her last year at school would be unable to announce for Trent. However, she was just as excited to be able to announce with Charlie. Granted the two girls rarely talked outside of announcing, but together they had gotten up to quite a bit of shenanigans.

“Hello, hello! Good luck to Nuage and Feu in this last match. Watch out for those deadly looking rain clouds.” She warned into the mic. Apparently lackluster quidditch matches was a theme because this one was off to a rough start as well.

The game was going very slowly and Lucie kept looking at the sky and then at the chasers who weren't getting anywhere. No goals to save and no goals being scored. She bit the inside of her cheek and was a mix of emotions. Boredom and frustration and something else she couldn't identify. Fear? She didn't have much more time to think as finally she had to move into action. And missed.

It was with some gratification that later Feu scored the second goal of the match. "Keep it up chasers," she called out. Silently she hoped for even more goals to be scored by her team. She would really love that and love it even more if her team were to win.

Charlie was so exhausted as she entered the announcer's box sipping at a cup of coffee. She took a long sip and enjoyed as at first it kind of burned her mouth before the sensation inevitably tapered off into basically nothing, and only then would she actually swallow the coffee. She loved announcing games for her boyfriend, even if he got all angsty about quidditch which unfortunately she couldn't do this week. She still liked to feel like she was representing Philip on the field when really she was doing fairly close to nothing spectacular. On the other hand her partner this week was Guenevere whose boyfriend was all fancy and committed for the professional league.
