What a Catch Empty What a Catch

Beauregard was never quite confident in his own skills. For awhile, he firmly believed he lacked any skills particularly because the only thing he was interested in was skateboarding and he fell off the skateboard most of the time. When he had started school, things didn't seem too bright for him since he was slower to learn spells than his peers, some peers even called him out on it. He had wondered if maybe there had been a mistake and he was actually just a muggle. After all, he didn't know what his parents were. He never knew them.

Beauregard's luck changed when he first rode a broom. Flying seemed natural to him and what was more than that was his ability of speed and to catch things while flying. He had happily acquired a spot on the quidditch team as seeker and even managed to catch the snitch each game. He had greatly surprised himself, but didn't want to get an inflated ego after it. He intended to uphold his position and even get better, so Bo did his best to practice catching over the summer. However, he was behind on flying practice and even more importantly, he was behind on flying while trying to catch a snitch.

When school started, he wasted little time before heading out to the pitch to get into practice again. He was ignoring his homework, but this felt much more important to him. He quickly swiped what looked like the best of the school's brooms and walked out onto the grass of the pitch, which was dew covered in the early morning. Much to his surprise, he was not alone.

"Hello," He greeted with a nod of his head. "You here to practice too? Mind helping me out?" He motioned to a bucket of golf balls. It was hard doing this warm up on his own, but if he could get someone to throw golf balls for him while he chased them, it'd go by so much smoother. "I can return the favor after we're done." He offered in return.

Aurora wasn't one for Quidditch, even though she was decent at flying, when it came to classes. However, she knew that a little practice never hurt anyone and it was such a beautiful day that she wanted to practice her speed and be able to do things that would impress her professor. She'd worked so hard to get here and she wasn't going to give it half effort. This was it. She had to make everything work and show her dads that everything was going to be alright and that she deserved to be here.

The last letter that she'd received from them had included the words. "I know you're having fun, but it is hard not having a our little girl here." Those words made her heart sank. She missed them so much too and just wanted to be there, but she wanted to be here. So here she was flying in circles around the pitch when a boy walked out, it was none other than Bo. "Hey!" She smiled and flew to the ground. "Yeah, sure!" She grinned and grabbed some of the balls.

As soon as the girl landed, Bo recognized her. She was the girl with the horse. How could he forget? He was pleased that she seemed okay with helping him out and very relieved as well. It was nearly impossible to practice at full potential without someone giving him a hand.

He had mounted his broom, ready to take off, but first wanted to explain what Aurora had to do. "I need to practice my seeking so Feu can take home the cup again this year, so if you would be so kind to throw some golf balls for me to catch, I would be much obliged. Throw them as high or low as you like and mixing up the height and speed would do wonders. Make it as challenging for me as possible, okay?" He instructed, hovering slightly above the ground. He kicked off then and flew a lap around the pitch before stopping and shouting down to Rory. "Okay, you can start now!"

Aurora was happy to see her friend when she had landed. Bo had been one of the few people who hadn't thought that she was a strange person, based on the fact she came from a ranch and had an Okie accent added to the mix. The boy seemed very sure about everything he did. When he did something, it wasn't done a whim, he had thought it out and planned it. Which was exactly what he had done with this. He wanted more practice and ROry was more than happy to help him out.

One the boy had explained everything she waited for his signal. Once he gave the cue she started throwing the balls into the air with great force so it would challenging to catch. She smiled as it soared through the air. "Go!" She called out when the ball left her hand. She watched in amazement as he went after it.
