Creepshow Empty Creepshow

Post by Guest Mon Apr 18, 2016 1:43 am

It was no secret that there was something off about Gretchen Eliza Burton. She talked to spiders and kept to herself. It was quite lonely, actually. She wished she had someone to call her friend. Yet, she was alone and hardly anyone looked her way. She was known as the weird girl. It was weird to Gretch, they were all witches and wizards. Which was taboo and most people didn't believe in any kind of magic. That was weird, that was creepy. Yet she was an outcast among the people she was close to. They were all weird. Even muggles were weird. There were people like her, she just knew it. But it seemed like she couldn't find anyone who shared the same interests as her. No one to get to know her. She wrote her parents telling them how much fun she was having and how great things were going. But none of it were true but at least the stuff she talked about could be true.

She let out a long sigh as she strolled around the gravestones, she felt strangely at peace in this very moment. Any normal person would find this place creepy, but not her. She felt at peace here, she left....at home. Strange as it sounded, she felt like she belong along the creepy things. She felt like she belonged to the things that weren't normal. Was she trying to not be normal? She wasn't quite sure, honestly. She didn't think so, this just felt natural. But what was she supposed to do once school ended? These natural things weren't going to give her a job or a career. Maybe she should go to college? It didn't sound particularly fun but school wasn't really fun to begin with. She was so undecided and didn't know what she wanted. She knew her first job wasn't going to be the job she stuck with her whole life and she knew it wasn't going to be something would fully enjoy either. "Woe is me," she said quietly, just above a whisper. "What am I supposed to do once I graduate?"

Creepshow Empty Re: Creepshow

Kimi didn't really open up about her past and hardly ever let a soul in. It was just something she did, she didn't like to get too close to people. People always left eventually. Her closest friend was Garnet and it was hard not to like the girl, but she did have a few things she kept to herself. She didn't talk much about her personal life to anyone, including her best friend. Her past was a mystery to everyone and she wanted to keep it like that. She was cast out as a freak and was adopted, there wasn't much to it. But she liked to keep that a secret and didn't talk about it. Deep down, she was still hurt about it. How could someone just give up on their kid like that? Just stop loving them? And call them such hurtful things? She hadn't heard from them since she left but a couple of months ago, she had gotten a letter stating that her birth parents had gotten in a terrible accident. Apparently they had been in France looking for her, probably because she was now famous and they wanted her money. But before they could find her, they suffered a ill fate. She felt kind of bad but she hadn't really known them and they had given up on her.

But that didn't stop her from visiting their graves. This would be the first time she did since she had learned about their passing. She had never had the courage to go, she blamed it on work but really she didn't want to face it. She was always good at turning away from her problems. But she had put it off for too long and she now had to face one of her biggest problems. She didn't bring anything with her, she felt like they didn't really deserve anything from her but maybe one day she'd bring them something. She was close to where they were buried when she heard someone talking to themselves. Thank you, she thought. She had gotten out of visiting her parents' graves. At least for right now.

"What are your interests?" she spoke before coming out from behind the shadows, this place was filled with them. "Maybe I can help."

Creepshow Empty Re: Creepshow

Gretch was caught by surprise when she heard someone talk to her. She had been talking to herself and didn't think anyone was around to hear her. She didn't think anyone was here at all. It was so dark and creepy here, it felt strangely safe to the seventh year. Comforting in a way. It would be hard to explain to someone who wasn't her. Most would call her a freak. You would think that witches and wizards would stick together instead of insulting each other, they were all different. But it seemed like everything was about blood or friends or money. Not to Gretchen though, she didn't think about those things.

"I like spiders," she admitted shyly. It was an odd obsession and not many people understood. But there was no way she could make a career out of the things she enjoyed and she was afraid that she was going to be stuck with a job that she was going to hate for the rest of her life. "But what am I supposed to do with that?"
