What a Beauty Empty What a Beauty

Post by Guest Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:07 pm

There was one thing in the world that Christian could say he actually loved and it was a game. Before you judge that listen to why. Quidditch is the only thing him and his parents always agreed on and they all actually came together to watch it at least they did before the divorce and death. So now those memories were just faint but when he player the game it seemed like that happy place with his parents could be found again. So when the boy was walking and came across a qudditch store he couldn't help from walking inside.

Inside he found brooms of every kind all much nicer looking than his crappy hand me down at home. His had been his oldest cousins until he got a new one. Christian reached into his pocket to count his money Alice most of his shopping was done he had mostly change he counted it to find be had just enough for their cheapest broom. He went to get one off the shelf when all of the brooms on the shelves in front of him fell on the ground. He threw his hands up "I didn't touch it."

Katie smiled eagerly as she stepped inside the Quidditch shop. She had lost how many times she had been in there now, it was too many to count! Stopping before the Holyhead Harpies Robes and T-Shirts that she had seen the other day, the redhead smiled, reaching up and dragging a green and gold t-shirt off the rail and hugging it to her body, Katie smiled at the thought of her father giving her the money for it. Her mother would disapprove, of course, her mum and Maddy were really ;posh' and 'sophisticated'.

Hearing a crash and the clatter of brooms dropping to the floor she turned around and her blue eyes fixed onto the boy in the middle of it all, walking over quickly she said to him, "You might want to get away, before someone spots it!" Turning away and gesturing to another part of the store she muttered, "Come on!"

What a Beauty Empty Re: What a Beauty

A girl came up behind Christian almost giving him a heart attack for he thought it was an employee coming to yell at him for something he didn't do. Someone must have hit the shelf from behind it wasn't him and he would swear on it. But it was actually someone about his age telling him to book it before someone noticed what happened and blame him for it. So banding down he quickly picked up the broom he had been going to get in the first place and quickly walked towards the girl and past her to the next aisle of shelves. As he past he said. "Thank you for the advice." He gave her a crooked smile before walking past.

Watching as the boy darted further into the store, Katie rolled her eyes and followed him to the back, stopping, still with the t-shirt in her arms. "It wouldn't kill you to have a conversation." She muttered, her eyes to the broomstick in his hands. It was one of the newer models that she could only hope to buy.

"You play Quidditch?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Katie hadn't met anyone else who played it, yet, she hoped when she got to Beauxbatons that would all change.

Christian felt bad for just walking past the girl especially after she said it wouldn't have killed him to have a conversation. "Sorry I was gonna grab your arm as I went by so we could talk but I thought that would be rude. I guess I looked rude anyways so I still lost that. Sorry bout that." He saw her eye the broom in his hands she was probably thinking about how low he must be to buy that one. There were plenty newer models that people could buy and she probably had one but he only had enough for this one.

He smiled when she asked if he was a quidditch player. "Yeah I love the game, one day I'm gonna be a Professional quiddtich player, I am even gonna be the star of the team that goes to the Quidditch World Cup you watch and see. Just look from my name Christian D'Angelo you'll see it there." He told her proudly with a large smile.

A smile rippled across Katie's face, "No!" She laughed, "Because you'll be seeing mine way before your's, Katie Brooks, Chaser! Just you wait!" She paused for a moment before continuing on, "Maybe," She continued on, dragging out the a sound. "We'll both be in it. And then we would defeat everybody else!"

Maybe she was going a bit too fast, her mind was a bit extreme, running from something as simple as a broomstick to the Quidditch World Cup. "Well, anyway, I'm Katie Brooks," the redhead said. Smiling.

A smile spread across Christian face as he listened to the girl talk about her quidditch dreams much like his own. He hadn't met anyone who shared his dreams to be on a major quidditch team as passionately as he did. He knew his cousins wanted to do the same things as him but none of them had ever been as passionate about it as he did but this girl sure did, he loved that. "Oh yes of course we would be on the best team of them all and our team will go to the world cup and we will crush the other team. Only I'm likely to be there long cause I can play all position but not beater as well." He told her with a proud smile.

Their conversation sure did escalate quickly didn't it. But he was okay with any conversation that centered around quidditch. "It is my honor to meet you Miss Katie Brooks." He said with a smile and small bow. "I am Christian D'Angelo by the way."

Katie flashed a quick smile, "Hey Christian," She said, while still looking out for any angry looking store clerks, you never know what could happen, especially in a Quidditch store, they might send Bludgers at you or enchant the tiny miniature brooms to buzz around your head for the whole time you were trying to find something. And it was nice to find someone else who was crazed about Quidditch as she was.

"So, what brought you out to Amethyst Alley then? I'm guessing you're going to Beauxbatons this year?" Katie smiled, it would be nice for someone to play Quidditch with, "And what team do you support?" She asked, her eyes flickering to the green and gold t-shirt in hand.

Christian took a quick moment to glace around him looking for some angery shop keeper and pulled Katie a bit farther down the aisle just in case. He would hate to see her take the blame for something that wasn't her fault and technically is wasn't his fault either. He listened to her and was confused when she asked what brought him to Amethyst Alley he just assumed everyone that looked about his age was here for schoool stuff.

"I'm starting Beauxbatons this year as I assume you are too." He replied secretly wishing he hadn't gaged her age wrong, girls usually got really upset by that. "And the only team there is to truly support is the Holyhead Harpies of course. Once in awhile when I'm watching a game they aren't in I will root for another but they are always my favorite." He replied with a smile.

Squeezing the T-shirt even tighter in her hands, "You support the Holyhead Harpies?!" She said, her eyes lighting up at the thought of her favourite team, "I do too, they are the best team in the League, and the world I suppose," Her mind drifted to when she had met Linette, the silly little girl who thought French Quidditch was the best in the world. It was common knowledge that the French couldn't play for a single Chocolate Frog.

Uncrossing her arms and shaking the T-Shirt out, Katie turned it around so that the gold emblem of the Holyhead Harpies shone a little in the light from the store, "Best Team in the World!" She proclaimed, "I go to most of their games, Dad takes me to England, I don't think I'm French, not in most ways," That was a lie, "I used to live in England you see, and that's where I learnt how to play Quidditch!"

Christian couldn't contain the massive smile that spread across his face when he heard that Katie liked the Holyhead Harpies too. It really wasn't a surprise when he thought about it they were only the best team ever in the history of the sport so of course if you were a big supporter of the game then you liked the Harpies. He watched as the red haired girl shook out the t-shirt in her hands, he hadn't noticed the shirt before now. "Wow that's cool until this year I have gone to all of their games because I used to live in London and my mom took me to all the games and my dad too before...." He trailed off remembering the divorce. "But now that I'm living with my father in France I haven't been to any of the games this year. But they are definitely the best team in the world, in fact best team in the history of Quidditch!" He exclaimed with a smile.
