If There Is No Evidence, Then There Is No Crime Empty If There Is No Evidence, Then There Is No Crime

Rosalie had recently received a package from her parents, lots of beautiful things had been in the box....lots of things that reminded her of her modeling career, but none more than that of the actual magazine...of the last shoot she'd been in. The girl with the bright smile on the shiny cover smiled back at her. Same long hair, same brown eyes..same...Rosalie....but it wasn't her....She just had to get rid of this...she couldn't keep it....if she did....someone was sure to find it, and she didn't want to the attention of what that was to bring, she just wanted a normal life...for just 1 year. She found herself in the library and trying to find a paper shredder. It would be able to erase it for good. As if an angel's light was shining on it..she saw it and made her way towards it. She looked at the magazine..."I'm sorry...I just need one school year...and then I'll be what you want me to be again..." She said quietly, unaware she was being overheard.

Crouched on her hands and knees, Marceline loomed in the library on the hunt for spiders. Why? Because Sigmund, her bat, loved spiders and she was going to provide for him. He hardly got any from her dormitory and she felt he needed a special treat. She spotted one beneath a table by the waste basket and crawled forward, extending a jar to capture it which was crawling with three other spiders at the moment. Right when she was about to pounce, someone threw something in the trash and scared the spider away. Marcy cursed beneath her breath and sat up. Now she needed to start all over again. But what was this?

Little miss perfect was clicking away in her fancy shoes from the waste basket, which made Marcy all the more curious about what she had just trashed. She appeared from beneath the table and grabbed the thing on top in the waste basket. It was a magazine with an all familiar face on it. "I knew it!" Marceline exclaimed. She flipped open the magazine to examine the pages in which the photoshoot Rosalie was featured in rested and was half tempted to rip them out so she could draw on them later. "Of course little miss goody two shoes was a model," She sneered to herself and then really did rip out one of the pages. After all, she did throw it away in the first place.

Rosalie sighed in relief, she felt better knowing the contents of the magazine were gone. They'd be thrown out, without a second glance and no one would have to know a thing about her being a model, at least that's what she thought would happen. As she continued to walk, she felt a strange absence of the ring that her mother had given her...gone from her finger. "Shoot." She gasped and hurried back to the 'crime scene'. Upon her arrival she saw Marceline sitting there with the contents of the magazine in her hands causing Rosalie's pretty face to go white. "What are you doing with that.." She asked timidly.

Marceline had thought that Rosalie had gone off but suddenly she heard her voice again. She seemingly wanted her magazine back and as a self-declared enemy of Rosalie, Marceline was not going to easily let her have her way. "It's nothing." She hid it behind her back. "Alright, it's a magazine. Filled with spooky things. Werewolves and vampires and that sort of stuff, but nothing that would interest a pretty good doer like you," She lied and continued to conceal the magazine. It was hers now. Rosalie had thrown it out so clearly she didn't want it.

Rosalie in truth was a little scared of Marceline, since what had happened in DADA. She had been hit by the girls spell, but it hadn't just brushed off, she'd been left with a broken arm and a bloody nose. Rosalie didn't hate the girl for what she did, however. She could never truly hate anyone..but made her nervous knowing that this girl who very much disliked her existence was holding something that resembled her secret. "Maybe I would be interested..." She stumbled on her words a bit. "May...I take a look a it...for a moment..?" She asked afraid for the results she was going to find, if in fact Marceline showed her.

Marceline tried to hide her grin as she was having fun preventing the girl from getting her magazine back. She'd like to think she was being a great bother to Rosalie in the least and would play the game all day if she didn't have to return back to her dorm and get Sigmund his spiders before they suffocated in the jar.

"I don't know. It's pretty scary stuff," Marceline chimed playfully, still holding the magazine out of sight. "You might be having nightmares for weeks." She added and then, figuring that was all the time she had to play her little game, she revealed the magazine, shoving it right in the girl's face, open to the page where she was featured. "Behold! It's your face!" She laughed. "Isn't that horrifying?"

Rosalie bit her lip and awaited the sight of the magazine, it scared her to think that it could be her. She didn't want her to know why she was so protective over the magazine. "I...Marceline...you don't understand...." She said when suddenly the girl shoved the paper into her face. She jumped back and bit her lip and snatched the magazine away. "Give me that, NOW!" She said angrily and held it close. "Don't you dare speak a word of this to anyone! You hear me!" She said narrowing her eyes. This was a new Rose, one Marceline hadn't seen. However, this side of her wouldn't stay for long...but only as long for her to make sure Marceline didn't know too much about her.

The reaction Marceline received was priceless. She was expected an eyeroll at best but Rosalie completely freaked out. She chuckled and allowed the magazine to be returned to it's owner and had to take a moment to recompose herself.

"What's the matter? Was it a bad hair day for you or something?" She tormented. Suddenly she was receiving threats, which only made her feel like she was having even more fun. "Or what? Why should I feel compelled to keep it a secret, huh?" She clicked her heels and grinned at the girl. Little did Rosalie know that Marcy had no one to tell her secret to, but she wanted to gain something from this situation, since it was set up so perfectly.

Rosalie narrowed her eyes at the girl and held the magazine close. "You just have to keep it a secret okay. "Because....." Rosalie trailed off. "You just can't..I'll pay you well for your silence." She bribed and bit her lip. She was athe leisure of a girl whom truly hated her, which made her nervous. She could see the pure pleasure radiating off of the girl. She looked down. "Look Marceline, I just need you to keep quiet, my world was just starting to back to normal and I don't want you screwing it up." She glared. "Now, what is your price to keep you quiet?" She questioned unknowingly.

Marceline rolled her eyes at the girl's words. Her world was just beginning to return to normal? And what was her problem? She was probably treated like a princess. Child models were paid well and judging by the feature Marceline came across in the magazine, Rosalie was quite popular.

"I'll think about it," Marceline replied and turned back to her jar of spiders. She needed a few more if the supply was to last her till next week. "Hmmm, what could I possibly want from you? Not your clothes, of course," Marceline spoke aloud, dragging out the conversation for as painful as possible. "I could make you my slave," She added, staring down the long haired girl. "Sigmund needs more food. Think you could round up a few spiders for him?" She grinned uncontrollably at the thought of Rosalie crouched among spider webs, collecting bugs for her. "It might be scary, but then again, it might be scarier if I were to slip your feature in a conversation, wouldn't it?"

Rosalie looked at the girl and bit her lip. Her slave? She was nervous enough with the other girl knowing her precious secret. She did not want it leaked anywhere and she knew that Marceline wouldn't hesitate to spill anything if Rosalie were not to follow through with her demands, but spiders. For one, Rosalie hated bugs, and everything about them. She couldn't imagine picking up the eight legged menances and into small jars. Swallowing her pride and shaking her head, she looked at the girl and bit her lip. "Do you want them alive, or dead." she asked and looked at her feet and twiddled her thumbs. "If I do this, you'll keep quiet?" she asked taking her jar of bugs with a cringe.

Marceline's lips pulled into a grin as she watched Rosalie's facial expression change when she heard what task she had been given. "That's just for starters, right now. I might think of something else later to add," Marceline added. Being her slave didn't mean just picking up spiders for her. It was a wide category of an assortment of unpleasant tasks that needed to be done.

She handed the jar, already crawling with a few spiders, to Rosalie with a pleased with herself look on her face. "Alive. It keeps them fresher. And only the best for my bat," Marceline crooned to her bat who was not present at the moment. "Start working," She commanded. "It all depends on how well you do."

Rosalie cringed at the idea of picking up live spiders. It was certainly as task she had never had to do back at her home in Italy. Biting her lip, she nodded a bit. "Alright.." She shivered as the girl mocked her in her fallen state. Rose slowly sunk to the floor and looked under the bookshelves. Tilting her head down to floor level, she peered under the big furniture and was met with a bit hairy spider. She screamed and jerked away from the book case. Looking up to Marceline helplessly she felt tears well up into her eyes. "Please...anything but this.." She practically begged. "I can't do it..."

Marceline watched with pleasure as Rosalie internally struggled with the unpleasant task. Just as she expected, the girl was far too much of a princess to be able to get down and dirty and watched as she nearly cried at the thought of touching spiders. Marceline chuckled at the girl's complaints.

"Oh really? That's too bad. Cause I am awful at keeping secrets," Marceline replied as Rosalie backed out of doing the task. Honestly Marceline didn't need that many more spiders at the current moment, but she had Rosalie at her will and by George, she was going to take advantage of it while she could. "Oh? Is that my good friend Ruby over there?" Marceline added, overdramatically looking off into the distance where Ruby was indeed not. Rosalie didn't need to know though. "I'm sure she'd love to hear about the career my good pal Rosalie has," She finished and started walking in the feigned direction.

Rose looked at Marceline with eyes of sadness, "Please don't Marceline.." she begged. "I'll do it...just give me a moment." She said and to swallow her fears. It wasn't pride that was holding her back, it was the fact that spiders were terrifying and she hated them, as much as she hated white shoes after labor day. Taking the jar in hand, she reached down to pick up the hairy looking beast. Shivering she slowly reached her hand down and picked it up with her bear hands. Just as she thought it would, the thing started to squirm and try to run. She quickly put into the jar and wiped off her hands on the ground. Cringing, she looked back to Marceline. "See. I can do it...just please, don't tell anyone."
